Once Amion has finished speaking, Logaire thanks him and then asks Goban, Erlea, and Benat to go and brief the other chiefs. Once he is gone, Logaire motions for the others to move closer. "Now we come to the true reason why I have gathered you all. I am currently in need of allies, or at least a candidate to succeed me as Great Chief, when either I am forced to step down or Damhan defeats me. We may disagree on many things, but I believe I can trust you, more so than any of the others."
The minotaurs begin conversing in a rapid, guttural dialect that Amion has difficulty following. After a while, he notices that Aobheann has said nothing.
Amion walks over to her (I think). "What is on your mind?" He asks.
OOC: Her is correct.
IC: She looks at him for a moment, and then turns away. "I do not wish to speak of it."
Logaire notices Amion talking to her and pulls the elf aside for a moment. "Her nephew, Dubhan, disappeared not too long ago. Besides being her brother's son and dearly loved, he was also the most likely to succeed her as chief. Now, it is unsure who will take his place, but it will likely be someone with a political agenda different from hers and her family's."

OOC: Whoops, saw this and forgot to reply.
IC:"That is sorrowful." He addresses the group. "Have we thought of any plans? I mean, I suppose charging would be a relatively effective attack, but first I think we should draw off part of their army. But, those are only my thoughts."

OOC: No problem.
IC: Cathair speaks for them. "Because of the superior size of their force, we believe it would be best to wear them down in short, periodic attacks that use the terrain to our advantage. We will speak to your people's leaders as well before we attack."

Amion takes out a flute and begins to play to pass time until nightfall. Then he tries to get as much rest as he can.
As he is playing, Cathair walks up to him. "Your friend fought well. It is not too many of his kind who can outmatch mine, though perhaps his opponent could have been better chosen."

"What do you mean?" Amion asks inquisitively. There is a sense of sincerity and warmth in his voice.

"Bradach, not unlike many of my clan, fights not with his head, but with his anger. Against a clever opponent, that is a weakness that can easily be exploited. This is not to say that instinct has no place in combat, however. Sometimes one can think too much and that is just a sure a path to defeat as thinking too little."

"Yes, and we must apply that with the battle at hand. Hope seems distant, but we must keep thinking."

"Hope is not so distant as peace, I think. It seems to me that the battle we face now will not be our last. We will need strong leaders to face the coming storm."

*Aaron wakes up and catches the last comment and comes over*
"I never did figure out why I am doing this, what is going on?"

"I think your elf friend would be the best one to explain that."
