A number of Xain are smashed in the initial charge, but once they regain their bearings they push back once again.
The Lion Knights furl their banners as they start to fade.
Suddenly, these Lion Knights hear something behind them. Seeing what it is, they unfurl the banners, which have regained enough energy for a flash. A stone lion leaps over their heads, over the Dragon Knights, and into the Xain ranks. Blue fire erupts from his maw, as Leonus lands among them. He fights tooth and claw, tearing Xain from the ramp and hurling them to the ground.
Many of the weary Lion Knights are injured by these projectiles, though the narrow corridors prevent all of them getting hit. Demiu is struck on the head, causing a minor injury. The group attempt to continue towards the tunnel.
The Morñornians fight on with growing dread, trying to take as many of the Xains down with them as possible.
They face no further resistance just yet.
OOC: Are these the group on the walls, or the group with Darthraxx just below them fighting the Xains directly?
They continue.
OOC: I was referring to the ones within the castle. I may have not made the positions clear, so here they are:
Demiu and thirty Lion Knights are near the tunnel. 150 Morñornians are in the castle, though further from the tunnel than the Lion Knights, and are trying to stop the Xain getting any further. These are the ones I just mentioned. 20 Lion Knights, who have just been joined by Leonus, are fighting with the Dragon Knights on the ramp. 50 Morñornians, under the command of Eorion, are on the wall, but not close enough to the ramp to fight.

Many Xains are smashed, and others flee in fear, but their numbers are still daunting.

No Xains are visible as they reach the mouth of the tunnel. Sounds echo inside it.
OOC: Thank you. That is very helpful. Those aren't quite as outnumbered as I said, though the Xains they face are still multiple times their number.
IC: The fighting in the tight corridors is brutal and both sides take many losses.

Leonus attempts to push the Xains further down the ramp.

IC: Demiu uses a simple spell to manipulate light, so that it bends around the bodies of him and two others and renders them invisible. They creep down the corridor.

The tunnel is very dark. They almost run straight into the Xains, but manage to see them just in time.
Borne on the wind, a folded piece of paper flutters past the Xain army and onto the wall, landing in front of one of the Dragon Knight soldiers. On it, the word 'Lexos'.

They stay quiet, and listen for any conversations.
Casur leaps off of the ship into the shallows and charges towards the Xain soldiers. He hits their line headfirst, impaling the nearest soldier on his horns and knocking several more off of their feet. His hammer begins to toss enemy warriors this way and that. Almost all of them are smashed on impact when their armor is crushed by the strength of the minotaur. Any soldier wielding a sword or axe is no match for Casur, but the ones with spears and polearms manage to inflict a few minor wounds on their foe.
OOC: You're welcome.
IC: The Kriatoma army tears through the Xains, pushing closer to the center of the group.
On the other side of the battle, the Dwarves from Aardhemir are all but gone. The last few of their number stand around the commander, surrounded by hundreds of Xain corpses. Shadow Warriors try again and again to break through the ring of Xain soldiers around the Dwarves, but they are beaten back with few casualties on both sides. Arrows continue to fly into and from each army, as well as a number of magical projectiles. The spellcasters have not been given enough time to perform any major attacks like they had planned.
Valithor has no choice but to lie on a bed below the deck of a ship and listen to the clash of steel, the battle cries, and the screams of the wounded. If only I could be out there with them! Try as he might to even sit on the side of the bed, the deep wound in his back prevents him from doing any such thing.
Casúr continues to push through the Xain army by himself, using two Xain polearms as weapons. His hammer was knocked from his hand by a spellcaster earlier, and now it lies somewhere in the chaotic melee of the battle. Seeing many Xain soldiers pour into the castle, he tries to move in that direction.
