The crumbling ranks of the Lion Knights part, to reveal Demiu and his escort riding out, clad in shining armour and carrying banners emblazoned with a roaring golden lion. Horns sound, sending out a challenge to the Xain Fleet. Demiu's voice, amplified by magic, follows,
"Come forth, Xain! Let one of your number come forth, and face me! Come forth and meet me in single combat, if ye be not too cowardly!"
The cavalry stop their attack as one of their number rides forth. He is tall and thin; a web of wrinkles lines his face and his gray hair is swept back. He is clad in similar red and white uniform to the rest of the Xain, but a rearing unicorn is emblazoned in silver on his chest. "I will accept your challenge. Until one of us is the victor, my men will not fight yours. But I cannot speak for the foot soldiers. They are not under my command." It is clear from his tone that he finds this displeasing.
OOC: I assume this isn't the magic-user I froze?
*Carun will walk over and settle down to watch the match*

*The Dragon Knights continue using Hammerhead Tactics, keeping the Xain line broken and nearly defenseless. 15 of their 25 Archers come out and begin firing upon the Xain lines.*
OOC: I'm not sure you know what Hammerhead tactics are. Hammerhead is when you have a number of cavalry, and then split them up. The first group attacks, breaks the line, and retreats. The second group, as the first dis-engages, attacks in the same manner. The third does the same, but after the second one disengages, and the fourth acts in the same manner. By the time the fourth (or fifth or sixth, or whatever) is done attacking, the first group is ready to take up the mantel of the group attacking as the opponent retreats.
OOC: I'm not sure how you expected me to know.
IC: The Xain will ignore the Dragon attacks, allowing them to easily break the line, while they continue attacking the Lions.
The ground erupts under the archers and any Dragon soldiers nearby them, sending chunks of earth flying at them and causing it to collapse under them.
mythmaster1: Have you seen the posts about the duel? That might affect how you proceed.

The Lion Escort halts and pitches their banner.
"Excellent. Shall we begin?"
The Xain cavalry line up behind the man. He motions for one of them to hand him a sword.
"We shall. But not without introductions, I think. I am General Corellus of House Unicorn, commander of the Xain cavalry in the invasion of Co'Ren. You are?"
OOC: Yeah, that's why I ordered my men around. I was waiting for you to reply to my posts.
OOC: Got it.
IC: Lexos' fifty men find the Dragon Knights harrying a group of Xain foot soldiers while the Lion Knights and the Xain cavalry are not fighting each other, but staying still.
Harfor has injured his arm but he and a few others retreat. There are now only about ten of them but they run quickly into the thicker forest. In a clearing a ways in they ases their situation.
About half the Xain return to the main battle, leaving the rest watching for another attack from Harfor's men.
Harfor sees fifty Forest Band soldiers coming to aid him. One of the Xain cavalry calls out, "We are under orders not to fight until General Corellus has finished his duel with your champion, but if you engage us before then we will be forced to defend ourselves."
OOC: I haven't been updating this because the battle had paused for a while.
100% 40%
IC: The Xain reinforcements reach the main battle. Corellus orders them to stand down for now, and they, after some discussion, agree. A few of them go to talk to the other Xain foot soldiers.
