Would you mind letting me know the overall idea of your plot in jammers? I don't want to go too off key.
I do agree that some of Lego's storylines aren't as great as they could be so it'd be fine if we did a storyline close to the canon one. I was intending on cooking something up with everyone anyways.
Some key points with me is I don't want crazy new tribes being introduced like "Rat Tribes" or "Elephants". You know what I mean?

I actually made a rat tribe in one of my stories back on the original LMBs.
As all of you gentlemen know, Lego makes great toys, but not as many great stories. And I like writing stories. There are still many things to clear about Chima Lore, so I wanted to start by modifying and completing the story of the First Chi Drinker, and how the Chi pool was built.
In my version of the plot, the first Chi Drinker is actually an agent of the Phoenixes, and a greater power. He becomes the ruler of the Lion Tribe that forms a few years later. The Chi water grants long life and knowledge to all that drink from it. After several prosperous years, the Lion King announces his plans: the tribes shall be awarded Crystallized Chi (Chi Orbs) after some time, and it shall give them strength, and greater knowledge and lifetime. The process shall be gradual, and the tribes shall learn slowly how to master and use it, lest they fall into violence and war.
However, as the King has to go away, his steward, seeking glory and power, finds the crystallization method (the Chi pool), and after a speech to the people, and their approval, builds it. The Chi orbs are distributed freely and without moderation. The King returns and is much displeased. He tells the people that because of their disobedience, the Chi will instead shorten their lives, and they shall be punished with war and suffering. The keeping of the Chi becomes a heavy burden, requiring all the balance and ceremony we see in the show.
The next day, the King leaves forever, but not before throwing the steward into jail (allowing him to be used as a potential villain). Then the roleplay starts.
Cool. So after that, the lions get a new king of their own species, right?

I'll vote for number 2. But I suggest we let the HQs make their own decisions. An HQ driven RP that still follows certain canon guidelines. I suppose after we set up the RP we can discuss what we want those rules to be.
Would characters eventually be smashed from old age?
Also, the war between the Ice Hunters and the Phoenixes happened in ancient Chima. Unless we included it.... that would make for some interesting roleplaying. What do you guys think?
Should we include the war and allow the HQs to choose sides in the conflict, or just skip over it?
I think characters in Chima have extremely long lifespans.
I don't know how the Phoenix and hunters could fit into this (it really depends on the timeline placement), but I have an idea about the leopards for when I make that HQ.
I will join... One last battle, eh? Let this old hound see the shed of my enemies' tears one final time... Hmhmhm...
If there is already an Alpha of the Wolf Em- uhh, I mean Tribe... I will join as Beta, if that is not too much trouble. Besides, we don't want any more Cavora-sized super tanks... Or giant cannons as powerful as the sun now... Heheheh... So let's just get to it...

I believe there is someone who has claimed the Wolf HQ but they also mentioned taking the Crocs. Maybe you two could negotiate. That's what this place is for.
I think we will be ready to begin as soon as Nightshroud tells me whether or not he wants the Raven HQ. Then I'll take a different one and we can all begin. Here's a list of the HQs that are ready to be posted.

Bear HQ: Dr. Matthews
Fox/Skunk HQ: Me and/or JGREAD?
