They say all good things must come to an end. To quote the king of Country, George Strait, "And my heart is sinking like the setting sun/ Setting on the things I wish I'd done/ It's time to say goodbye to yesterday/ And this is where the cowboy rides away." And Bobby Bare said, "And the LORD knows how much I hate goodbyes." Glen Campbell: "She just didn't know/ I would really go."
Memories are really important to me. Merle Haggard: "Make my old memories come alive/ Take me away and turn back the years. Sing me back home before I die." Willie Nelson: "And only memories remain."
We all have to say goodbye someday. We can't hold on to our memories forever. Tracy Lawrence: "Time marches on." Time keeps moving, the clock keeps on tickin'. The river keeps on rollin', the years keep on slippin'. Everyone's days are numbered. Goodbye is always implied. Life changes.
I'm going to stay for a few more days to wrap up as much as I can.
I'm officially announcing my retirement.
And as the credits roll, a sad song starts to play
And this is where the cowboy rides away
Time to ride off into the sunset.
The cowboy has always been a dying breed, but he takes his dying slowly, perched upon his steed. The prairie is his prison, his church, his wife, if you take away his sky you take away his life. Yet where does he go when the ranges all have closed, does he retire to his bunkhouses, in depressed repose. No, he climbs back in that saddle, if just to bide his time, for the cowboy knows, a good death is hard to find.
Thank you for all your incredible contributions to this forum. I'll always fondly remember roleplaying and chatting with you. You're a great, genuine person, and an amazing friend, and I hope to see you around.
Wow I didn't see this coming. And then the townsfolk stepped out onto the dust blown street and looked down at the outlaw spread out and cold on the street. Murmurs are heard from the citizens. One old man with watery blue eyes and a white beard says. "I don't know who that Colt kid was, but he sure cleaned up this town. And for that we'll always be grateful." And they watched him ride off into the setting sun, never to be heard from by that town again. But always remembered. Honor, God, and Grit, this is the way of the cowboy. Thanks for hanging out around the campfire with me! I'll miss you for sure, but I see you have cattle to drive and it's time to hit the trail. *Tips hat* Thanks for the songs and the fun. Good bye old friend hopefully our paths will cross again some day.

Godspeed. I'll be seeing you
Thanks, man. You're an amazing friend as well. And you surely will see me once again, if it's God's will.

*Gets teary eyed.* Well, nothing's ever over forever. I'll make sure to check in on y'all every once in a while. Thanks for singing along.

For A4, Benboy, Henny, Sam, and the rest of the staff: I'm designing, or I'm trying to design, a new feature for TBB. It's quite simple, really, but I hope y'all like it.
For Shadowind/Checkpoint/TheEpicInformant: I truly am sorry about leaving. It'll be hard to keep the RP's alive. However, I promise to come back as often as I can to keep the RP's alive. I'll do my best to come back every week. More often if I can.
I know I'm missing some of y'all. Sorry, but I'm in a hurry right now, I didn't forget y'all.

Yes, I knew a cowboy. A real tough un through and through. From the brim of his hat to the spurs on his boots
Imitators pass on by romanticizing that rough old life. But this fella, didn't need to speak a word. His scarred saddle and handle on the gun. Told me all I needed to know.
Son, if you want to command respect. Look no further than to man of the West. A man of justice never swelled with pride To ignore the One who rides alongside him by day and by night.
