The Halloween Party of... 2015? 16? I remember there being an interesting one. I also seem to remember a St Patrick's one getting way out of hand??
If I recall, I wasn't on the boards until November 2015, so if there was one that year I wasn't there for it. There was indeed a St. Patrick's Day party that lasted into June and beyond, that's where the Party Bosscrashers were born. Your membership was earned in part by the fact that you created the Valentines party before that.
Mmmm must have been 2016 then. October 2016 was around when I stopped posting regularly actually...
Yes yes, that one! It was always on the front page and I kept questioning how it got there. I remember the Party Bosscrashers!!!! Epic times
The Valentines party took a whole lot of effort to get up... I had to make sure it was used on a strictly "friends only" basis.
Didn't think it was fair to make this without posting some of mine. I'll post a few of them. I was around for a while and made thousands of posts, so I obviously can't mention them all.
Raising my own newbie, Truguy. I really felt proud in teaching someone about the boards.
The pure chaos that were my rejection reasons. I got everything. One of the best ones I think was one of the Moderators telling me a joke I had made was "too funny" for the Message Boards. I think it was just another way of them saying that my joke made them laugh, but it wasn't at all inappropriate. I also laughed when I posted a topic displaying an issue, which the Mods told me was "absolutely right" but they rejected it for some reason?? And them telling me to get German lessons, for when I tried to speak German on the GMB's and failed miserably.
Linda. Johny Jo and Sam's secret alternate identity for me, in where I'm a female. That was hilarious, really peaked when the Linda account was created. Man, those were the days. 12legolinda was the account name for reference. Had her own lore and everything. The amount of depth Sam gave her, my word, I could make a whole topic on Linda herself.
When I pretended to be Bobby, speaking in the third person and acting creepy on April Fools. I made so many spam topics about Bobby being related to various topics. So many people hated it, saying it was a "lazy" April fools prank, but I thought I was funny. Everyone had to cut me some slack though, I was only 12.
My MLN band the CityBoys! We were the last true band left on the boards that managed to survive the test of time. If the boards hadn't of shut down, I'd DEFINITELY still be writing songs.
Retiring constantly. No context needed.
When I found out I had more posts than minutes online. Didn't know whether I was insane, or broken.
Christmas 2014. Met so many people during that time on the Community Chat forum and made so many friends. Still, to this day, best Christmas of my life.

1. That sounds really cool. I wished I could've trained a newbie but I was always the newbie myself. 2. YES. Those rejection reasons were insane. xD Once the mods put a rejection thing in my profile, and iirc the post they rejected wasn't even mine. Also, it's an honor to make a joke that's too funny. Did you ever get those German lessons? 3. I had a dupe where I pretended to be dumb. Like, my dupe's words were intentionally so horribly misspelled that mods rejected the dupe's post because they couldn't understand what I was trying to communicate. 5. I missed MLN by a few years, but it looked so cool and I wish I had something to do with it. You should try with all your might to revive the CityBoys.

Rejection reasons, for me they were rarely given, however, I remember clearly that my post defending Ahsoka Tano as a character (which looking back is quite hilarious considering how mainstream she is now) got rejected because of a reference to the Skywalker family needing a hand...
The other was posting a message in another language, considering the topic at the time was about words in different languages. I suppose an entire sentence was a bit eccentric, but I remember it meaning "Do you understand this sentence?" Or something similar.

Realizing now, I might bring back the idea of posting messages using Christmas colors during the month of December. It was a childish thing I did back then, and yet it added a layer of charm to an already charming holiday season.
Imagine, every message you see while scrolling down is written in the warming glow of red and green lettering. Truly, it would be amazing if every user here participated in this "challenge," yet such is wishful thinking. Not to mention the confusion of whose who during roleplays...and the shock given to those unsuspecting visitors of the Boards.

2. That's just so weird. I never understood what was going on with the whole moderation thing. Perhaps stress levels got to them? And no, unfortunately I didn't get German lessons, I opted for French instead.
3. Yeah newbies (particularly younger ones, younger than 10 years old) often had completely broken English but it went through okay, so unless you were speaking utter nonsense that couldn't be comprehended that is quite... Strange. You know I think I did a similar thing to that. For April fools, I pretended to be Bobby who had the maturity of about a five year old with broken English. Don't think anybody liked it.
5. Ah, I might consider it honestly. If I ever have nothing left to do (which, lets be honest, is never these days XD) I'd definitely revive it.
It's always hard to pick just one... All the fun times I had with my friends in the holiday parties. Especially the Halloween party, as that led to a lot of stuff...

The St Patrick's one was mine
It did kinda get out of hand, in that we had that, your Valentine's party and several others running at once for like a year, regularly adding new parties but never letting any of them die xD
My favorite memory was how there was so much hype every time a new Ninjago season was announced. I also fondly remember the Nycole vs Jaya (Jay vs Cole and Nya ships) war. And, I remember arguing with this guy about Chima. He said Chima sucks and I loved Chima at the time. We were bitter enemies, and then suddenly we both became good friends. I even spoke to him on the galleries and he said "Yeah, I remember you. You were awesome!". I also think it was hilarious how I joined the Jurassic World RP and made a character with a dinosaur named Charlie. Charlie was the name of an actual Jurassic World dinosaur and someone who retired had that dinosaur already. So, everyone was like "Oh snap. I hope that guy who has Charlie doesn't come back and get angry that you took his dinosaur" or something like that. I played along with it, pretending to know what they were talking about. Meanwhile I had no idea that Charlie was an actual dinosaur. I just liked the name.
Good times.
Oh my, the Nycole and Jaya signature war, that brings back memories

Yeah the parties seemed to just become chatrooms and they were all running simultaneously. I remember I had one just called "MB Party" which was literally a chatroom after one page.
I found it ironic that all these were able to run without being locked, seeing as any time I tried to make a chatroom it got rejected (even though others were popping up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
One of my favorite LMB memories was when I wrote my first Ninjago story. Some kindly users kept up with my insane posting schedule, complimenting what they enjoyed, laughing at the jokes, and chatting in between. It was one of the first times I ever felt as if I had friends of my own, and it made me incredibly happy.
A few of them recommended "Avatar: the Last Airbender" to me, and because of them it is now one of my all-time favorite shows.
Even after the LMBs closed, that experience inspired me to keep writing, not to mention provided the enormous inspiration to write Roots of Earth, which took four years to write and is taking five years to post.
And last but not least, I met one of my closest friends in that way, and now we are in the same college IRL together.
