Chapter 11: Duel
GKF8 kicks the away before turning his attention to me. “I’ve had it with you and your chaos!”
An implosion drags me to the ground. I jump up and shoot an explosion at GKF8. He creates an implosion between us to pull us together and swings his sword. I block with mine.
“You know what?” I say. “I’ve had it with you and your attitude! So what if my party isn’t structurally perfect? At least we’re having fun! I bet you haven’t had fun a day in your life!”
I create a series of explosions to push him further and further back, toward that fourth wall of molasses he so dislikes. I soon succeed in sticking him to it. He uses implosions to pull molasses away from the wall and throw it into my face. With its adhesive removed, that section of the fourth wall begins to crumble...
Hey, put that back! We can’t be getting the reader involved!
<<
GKF8 creates an implosion to pull himself away from the wall. He swings sideways. I block again. His blade slides down. It hits my hand, causing me to reflexively drop my sword. He uses an implosion to pull my sword further away and maintains this implosion.
I reach for my sword. It isn’t coming to me. GKF8 shoves me to the ground and places a foot atop my chest. How is he able to overpower my sword?
I stop trying to take it. “Okay, you’ve won. Now what?”
GKF8 backs away and points his sword at me. “Now you leave me be. I don’t know why I keep wasting my time at this party. Unlike you, I actually have a productive career.”
He turns and begins walking away.
“The Brick Boards don’t exactly have a use for lawyers,” I say.
He says nothing in reply, and is soon out the door. I get up and retrieve my sword. The comes out from under a table and comes close to me.
“I don’t know why I bothered helping you.”
The looks up at me. “Me neither, but I appreciate it.”
So much for it not talking!
“Where did you come from anyway?” I ask.
The ignores me, continuing on its random path.
I look around the party. Everyone’s staring at me... I do my best to melt into a corner.
Hopefully this eventually works, the image website said it was temporarily down so I had to get a little creative...

Also, nice.
I think it should load once the website starts working again. I've put the image here before, so I used the same link that was in the first post I shared it in. It's another drawing.

Chapter 12: Reflections
“You alright?”
I look up to see that Glubby has come to my corner.
I put on a smile. “Yeah, I’m good.”
“It’s about time someone stood up to GKF8. He’s always been like this. He comes by and bothers me all the time.”
“I went a little far. Just because he says mean things doesn’t mean I get to say mean things back.”
“Don’t worry about it. As I said, he needed someone to stand up to him.”
“I try to be nice to everyone, but there’s something about him, for some reason, something in me...” I shake my head.
“He doesn’t make himself very likeable. Look, you can’t be friends with everybody, no matter what the tries to tell you.”
“I just need a break.”
I leave the topic to do so.
So far the ’s reach hasn’t been far. I’ve only seen its presence in Sham... and Nadajay. Thinking back on it, every time I saw him he was smiling, and he never stayed around long. How long has the been in him?
The Brick Boards have something that may help me find out. Near the center of the Boards stands a building called Search. I’ve used it a few times since I arrived, to see a little of what I missed out on coming here so late.
I leave CC and go there. I pick the nearest of several terminals to begin. It offers several search criteria, but I only need one: recent statements from Nadajay. It soon offers footage. It only records when someone speaks, and the last time Nadajay did so was back in June. Before that there’s nothing more until April. I start the recording from June.
Nadajay walked through the door of Finding Friendships. His face held a normal expression.
“: Coming this July to a city near you,” he said.
Benboy nodded. “Understandable.”
“It just seems like it could happen.”
Nadajay soon left.
That doesn’t answer my initial question, but it’s significant. It seems to have taken them a little longer than July, but still. Was that prophesy? Or did Nadajay actually see a ... and he was giving us a warning?

Chapter 13: Attack on the Party
My break lasted long enough. Too long, I’d say. I’m almost back at the party now.
I enter to find that IceFire and Sham are the only ones here. Not too surprising. Everyone else got bored after a few days, and Glubby already mentioned being inactive.
“It’s too quiet in here,” I say.
A emerges from the shadows. “We can fix that.”
“No! We don’t need that kind of excitement!”
“We’ve been waiting for you to come back, HannahDash.”
I shoot an explosion from my sword, and the emote retreats.
“That’s not the excitement I meant,” I say.
“We prepared for this,” IceFire says, grabbing a stack of pizza boxes from the food table.
The door opens, and on the other side stand -Sham and several s. -Sham goes straight for -Sham and the s all prioritize me. I have to put my focus into creating explosions to keep them at bay.
-Sham has his own bag of explosives now, and he throws them at -Sham. -Sham is running as -Sham continues approaching. IceFire throws a to distract -Sham, and he succeeds in becoming the target. Several explosives are thrown IceFire’s way, so he flips a table over and disappears behind it.
-Sham turns his attention away from IceFire when -Sham throws an explosive of his own at him. IceFire blows a whistle, and we soon see why. A dragon throws open the door and comes to -Sham’s aid, breathing ice at the incoming explosives. Becoming the target of the explosives, the dragon places -Sham on its back and takes to the air. This gives -Sham the advantage as far as throwing explosives goes.
Flaming cubes of coal crash through the ceiling. A pair of walls goes down, making way for the army’s ground forces. FlameForce. Hopefully they’ll be reasonable and help against the ...
“ALL WILL COME TO THE !”
That was General Flame! Since when has he been under their control?
They’re shooting non-fizzy lemonade as well, but the coal blocks are the bigger issue. Since they’re coming even from the sky, IceFire has to leave his place behind the table and run, continuing to throw as he does so.

Chapter 14: Escape
IceFire is in trouble now, being pursued by -Sham. The dragon comes to his rescue, breathing fire at -Sham. IceFire joins -Sham atop the dragon’s back, and they fly away out of the party.
I need to get out of here too. I sprint for the exit, dodging flaming coal blocks and s. Even after I exit I just keep running.
The s have really shown their power now... Is there anything we can do to stop them?
Don’t worry, HannahDash. It will all be fine.
No! Get out of my head!
We just want to be your friend!
I know that’s not true! You made it very clear to me what you wanted when we met four years ago!
Evidently not. Look at this with an open mind and you will see the truth...
Never!
I spin around, but there’s nothing there. It was only the ’s voice.
There’s no sign of IceFire or -Sham. I’m alone. But there has to be something I can do.
I have an idea. I know of someone who knows much about the way of emotes who I haven’t seen in the Brick Boards. A pigeon of mine is never far away, so I soon find one.
“Do any of you know where I can find an LMBs user named Krul150?” I ask.
The pigeon leaves to bring this request to the others. Someone steps out from an alley. GKF8.
“I’m coming with you,” he says.
“No, you’re not! For all I know, you could be working with the !”
“Why would I work with them? They’re one of the few things worse than you.”
“At least we agree on something.”
A pigeon returns to me. “I know where Krul is.” It points with its wing. “Traveling in this direction, you’ll come across three patches of woods. Within the third you should find a cottage. That’s the place.”
“Thank you.” I turn to GKF8. “You can come with me if you can keep up.”
I position my sword between my legs and create explosions to launch myself into the air and away. GKF8 appears beside me with his own method: he’s holding his sword above his head and pulling himself with implosions.
It sounds like this cottage is far away... We’ll be up here a while.

Chapter 15: Krul’s Cottage
The journey is long, but eventually the cottage is in sight. We descend.
We stand at the door doing nothing. I’m not comfortable knocking on the door of a place I’ve never been, especially when Krul never told me he was here...
GKF8 glares at me and knocks on the door himself. The door soon opens.
Krul looks surprised, but smiles. “Come on in!”
He shows us to two chairs where we can sit. He seats himself on the couch opposite the chairs.
Krul looks at GKF8. “Did she drag you over here?”
“I chose to come.”
“Tell that to your face.”
“I can’t change that.”
Krul says nothing, looking perplexed.
“That’s not Glubby,” a voice says.
A emerges from under the couch.
“Tony! Hi!” I jump from my seat to hug him.
“Wait, so if you’re not Glubby then who are you?” Krul asks.
“I am Galactaknightfan8, the Brick Boards’ official lawyer.”
“He still hasn’t shown me any proof of his official-ness,” I add as I sit back down.
Tony places himself beside Krul. “The is back, isn’t it?”
“Yes, how did you know?”
“The fact that the is tolerating you. You two together means something serious. And we already know the survived.”
“Then why didn’t you do anything about it?”
“There isn’t really anything I could do. The can’t replicate like the can... we needed the MBs.”
“So, Real Life has been doomed this entire time.”
“It’s why I went out here,” Krul says. “My only chance is the not finding me.”
“If my pigeons could find you, the s certainly will! You could have warned us!”
Tony moves closer. “The mods warned you. They did what they could to prevent the users from gathering at their refuge.”
“They didn’t tell us the survived!”
“They wanted you to enjoy what time you had left.”
“There has to be something we can do.”
“The lead is still alive. The mods helped bring it here. I know where it is.” Tony moves toward the door. “Meet us in the Technic forum at noon tomorrow.”
Tony gets a hug from Krul before leaving.
Krul steps toward the kitchen. “Anyone want some pizza?”
“No, thank you,” GKF8 says. He then walks out the door.
IceFire is in trouble now, being pursued by -Sham. The dragon comes to his rescue, breathing fire at -Sham. IceFire joins -Sham atop the dragon’s back, and they fly away out of the party.

XD He seems quite certain that it's his sword. And at least he got it out of -Sham's hands... unless it's no better off with him.

Chapter 16: The Abandoned Gallery
I’m almost back to the Brick Boards now. While we were eating, Krul told me how Tony survived the merging of worlds: by being inside Krul’s head when it occured. The presumably survived the same way... but how did it escape the Dungeon to do so?
I arrive in CC and decide to pay a visit to Benboy’s gallery. Ever since he joined, he began sharing images from the original LMBs. It’s a neat source of old memories. A new one appeared every day.
Until recently. There hasn’t been a new picture in days. Now that I know the is back, I can’t help but wonder if they had something to do with it.
I open one set of doors to enter the foyer and another to enter the gallery itself. No trace of Benboy, but Mipollo and AP are still here, chatting. I take another look at some of the pictures. Most were from before my time, but they’re still interesting to look at.
SOE steps inside. “This was a good show, needs a second season.”
Henny appears behind him. “It was delayed.”
“You know about it?”
“Yeah. It denied the series’s fans what they wanted, so it was delayed to ensure it’s more... well received.”
“Oh, so it was like a critics’ review copy sort of thing.”
“Yeah, something like that. Totally...”
“This sounds sketchy.”
“Only if you want it to be.” Henny smiles.
“Dude, you are mad suspicious.”
“Only if you want me to be.”
I’ve had enough of this. I approach Henny. “You’ve been suspicious ever since I arrived in the Boards! You’re working with the , aren’t you?”
“Only if you want me to be.”
“That’s not how truth works!”
What one thinks is true can vary from what another thinks...
Get out of my head!
You can be my friend if you want to be.
I run from the room before the can infiltrate my head further. I enter the foyer, but there are s blocking the door! I turn to run back inside, but Henny steps in and closes this door.
“Now it is your choice,” Henny says. “Join us without pain, or join us with pain.”

Wouldn't the perspective character be the main character
The s draw closer. An implosion appears, sending part of the ceiling down atop Henny.
GKF8 stands in the doorway. “Get out of here!”
“What about you?” I ask.
“I said leave!”
I do as he says, creating explosions to propel me through the hole in the ceiling as s jump at GKF8. I travel a few blocks before returning to the ground.
Henny is clearly working with the . But even then, his face showed he wasn’t under their control. Which means Henny is working with them willingly...
GKF8 approaches. He isn’t smiling, instead showing his usual displeased expression, but I now know that doesn’t mean much.
“I knew you’d get yourself into trouble,” he says.
“And am I supposed to believe you somehow escaped it?”
“Yes.”
“I saw s jumping into your head as I left. One doesn’t just walk away from that.”
“You didn’t see them jumping into me. You saw them jumping toward me.”
“That’s when they get inside your head. Why should I trust you?”
“I saved you from having them enter your head!”
“For all I know, they want you to gain my trust.”
“Now you’re being paranoid.”
“That’s generally a good idea when s are involved!”
GKF8 sighs. “I’ll have to tell you what I am, won’t I?”
“When Shamrock took the Shamadium sword, the lead entered him to form his bond with the sword,” GKF8 begins.
“Wait, so does that mean I have the lead in me?” I ask.
“Yes, you didn’t know that?”
Who did you think it was who told you to come to the Brick Boards to begin with?
Um...
GKF8 continues, “Because Shamrock already had this sword, when he took the Implodium Sword, I—erm. He was unable to bond with a second sword. So it remained attached to no one. Since the was inside the sword, it would be able to survive the merging of the worlds properly if just left alone.” GKF8 clenches his fists. “MFK4 couldn’t just leave well enough alone!”
GKF8 pauses for a second. “Shamrock left the MBs early through a portal of the ’s creation. However, he left the Implodium Sword behind. The told him to, as there was no way to predict what might occur when the was separated from its sword.”
“Couldn’t it just go with the sword into Real Life?”
“Those portals could not bring emotes to Real Life unless the emote was inside a user. Everything was fine until the s made another portal for leaving early, and that idiot MKF4 decided to bring Shamrock’s ‘forgotten’ sword to him. The told him the same thing, to leave the sword behind, but MFK4 just wouldn’t listen! So, I was able to learn what happened when the separated from the sword.”
“The could’ve just bonded with Glubby. He doesn’t own a sword.”
“Bonding is permanent; it isn’t something to do with just anyone! He is too chaotic, and has history with your sword.”
“My sword didn’t seem very picky.”
“That’s because the operates on chaos. Whatever goes. One day, that will be your doom.”
“Anyway, where do you come into this story?”
“The s remained in the MBs, but not in emote form. We merged into one unit, this.” GKF8 gestures to himself. “A shade of MKF4. I have his memories, and those of myself.”
“So the wasn’t able to take over your mind because you’re not a user, but another emote.”
“Precisely.” GKF8 steps away. “Remember where we’re going tomorrow. Don’t get yourself smashed before then.”
