I used to be looking forward to it, but it seems they took everything good out of the show.
Voice Actors, non-canon, Misako's name is Coco??? and the Ninja are in high school! (and more.)
I will still see it on release day, but it won't be the same.
And this is coming from a Ninjago fan.
Think of it in the same vein as you would the Power Rangers reboot movie
But I hate Power Rangers

I am pretty sure non-Ninjago fans will enjoy it more than Ninjago fans TBH. Just because Ninjago fans love the TV show and don't want it to change.

At the very least: it will be a brilliant standalone movie, and will summarize the Ninjago universe to a lot of people who otherwise didn't care about Ninjago

I will admit, it doesn't look all that bad. The visuals and animation look stunning so far. The plot is something I'll have to wait for more info about. So far, I didn't get much idea of what the plot was from the trailers other than Garmadon taking over Ninjago and something to do with high school (according to earlier descriptions).

Yeah, but anything different is usually not liked. They will be like "Zane isn't supposed to do that!" for example.
