Hello, hey, hi and howdy! Welcome to ArdentFours Emote guide!
Your guide to emotes, when I would use them, what I think they probably mean ( perhaps, well, maybe, well, idk ), and more!
The guide to a question no one ever asked! Disclaimer: These choices, the meanings behind the emotes, and how to use them are subject to opinion.
So, without further ado... Emote No 1
The tongue-smile emote:
This emote is probably the most-used emote on TBB. Such over-usage should be stopped right now!
Usage: I've seen people use it for all sorts of things, but people generally use this emote when chatting, having passive-aggressive discussions, making bad jokes, (though that's no laughing matter. ) and sometimes we just put a few at the end of posts, for some bizarre reason.
I'll mention how I myself like to use the . I stick it at the end of every sentence where I'm not being completely serious. And then I'll put two at the end of a sentence to make sure it's taken as a joke, "don't be offended please".
Notorious for it's sinister appearance, the smiley emote is perhaps the most unintentionally (Well, I think it was unintentional. ) scary emotes on TBB. How something as simple as a smiley emote could look so utterly frightful is beyond me, though it must have taken a certain amount of genius to achieve. Its unusual creepiness is one of the reasons why I have added it to ''The Frightful Four'', a short list of what I consider the most sinister emotes on TBB.
Usage: I've seen it used (when it's used, which isn't very often. ) in various ways and for different uses, including as means of scaring fellow users, in RPs, in stories and rarely in chat, though users tend to prefer the open-mouth-smile: :for use in chatting due to its less unsettling appearance.

"Oh, it can't be that bad..."
*Removing her shades to reveal an unforgettable face...*

Emote No. 3
The disappointed emote:
Used somewhat frequently (well, quite frequently as emote usage goes. ) The Disappointed emotes expression can be interpreted in many ways, though one of my personal favourite interpretations is ''dry humour''
Usage: As mentioned above, this emote has many emotion interpretations, some more complicated than others. But to name a few scenarios in which this emote might be used, well, there's: When discussing a very unfortunate event with the aim of making it humorous. When disappointed (who would have thought??? ) and possibly as a response to a silly/strange/bizarre post, (like this one )

Emote No. 4
The crying emote:
The crying emote is amongst the more popular emotes on TBB, noted for its almost comically-sad expression.
Usage: The crying emote is commonly used as a comical alternative to the sad emote:
I've seen the crying emote used in a few amusing ways, most notably to show comical sadness, hardship or frivolous misfortune.
Notes: It was an original emote from the LMBs. It is one of three emotes conveying sadness. It was positioned in the original lmb emote box to the left of the cool emote:
The angry emote is quite commonly used on TBB, luckily mainly for more comedic or passive-aggressive purposes!!! Though portraying a similar emotion to the frustrated emote it is more frequently used than said emote, and has a more classically-angry expression!
Usage: As mentioned above, the angry emote is mostly used for comedic purposes, mock anger and in heated debates, like ''Should you add tea to milk, or milk to tea?''
Notes: It was an original emote from the LMBs. It was positioned in the original LMBs emote box to the left of the angel emote (or your right) : which is kind of ironic, and one can only assume was intentional.

"Classically-angry..."
Sir, you cut me to the quick with thine penmanship. I shall now kindly borrow these words for daily conversation...

Emote No. 6
The happy emote:
The happy emote is one of my personal favourite emotes, due to it's usability, versatility, and general non-angryness. It is also the preferred happy emote, (well, who wouldn't choose it over these guys: ? ) Personally I think the happy emote looks almost like it's hiding it's pain inside.
Usage: This little guy is used quite frequently, due to it's generally-more-genuine happy expression. From chatting to writing Newsletters, whether you're actually happy, or you're just pretending, or maybe you just want to show off how shiny your teeth are, this emote is the emote for you.
Notes: It was positioned in the original LMBs emote box to the right of the heart emote
The bbcode for it is +o( There is a rumour that if you place a pizza emote next to it, it will turn into the emote. Okay, JK, that isn't true... Or is it? *gasp*
The sad emote is one of the three emotes portraying sad-ish-ness. (if one includes this guy: ) It's one of the more often used emotes which express a stronger emotion, not unlike this thing: It is overall a rather useful emote, though it's also useless, because what's to be sad about on TBB?! Everything's definitely really happy here and everything.
Usage: This emote seems to be one of the few commonly-used emotes, and doesn't appear to suffer as much from underrating as much as some emotes.
I see it used quite frequently for mock-sadness, in discussions about the state of modern LEGO themes and for general unhappiness.
Notes: It was positioned in the original LMBs emote box with the pizza emote ( ) to its right and the ''sarcastic'' emote ( ) to it's left.
The eyebrows, eyes and mouth are almost identical to that of the sweating emote:
