One of them is fantasy.
Most are some variant of sci-fi: superheroes, robots, spaceships, other spaceships operated by intelligent animals.
And one world that is almost normal except that its inhabitants have the minds of young children.
(and a couple other oddities) A large portion of the action happens there as it's fun to work with.
Wowwwww... That sounds wonderfully chaotic! XD Hey, I might have come from that minds-of-children world.

Okay then...
Here's a few examples of how weird these people from my story are:
They have a strange dialect. Isy they talk likey thisy, withy de high pitched voice. They don't have cars. They either run, or travel on trains that have bouncy walls and move very slowly. Their main weaponry shoots out these creatures that look like hands and bite you. They're ruled by kings/queens who can do whatever they want, but the monarch is replaced whenever the people get mad at them for something. They eat noodles. Almost entirely noodles, with a variety of sweet things mixed into them. Getting noodles with only parmesan is laughable. Tickling is good offense against them. They dread it.

No, I don't think they would know how to operate without a king.
But they kinda already operate as a democracy; while the king/queen has absolute power, the people will overthrow them when they do
anything the people don't like.
