Well, I'm going to predict that from 2025 - 2030, classic rock will come back. I seriously hope so, though.
Oho, that would be great.
It seems that most modern music is so... samey, they all go for the same style, and it isn't even good. We must make it come back.
Well, I know some people would disagree, but yes, I personally agree that music was so much better, but I guess that's up to personal preference, since some people prefer basic melodies and lyrics they don't need to think about to understand. I personally really enjoy beautiful melodies and very deep lyrics, but whatever.
But yeah, we'll have to ease into it though. 2023 will be the return of 80s music, mark my words
But I mean, it isn't so unlikely. I've seen tons of very skilled kids who happen to love old bands like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, etc, and the kids are our future, so hopefully.
I mean, there's still some decent music nowadays, it's just very hard to find it, and those decent songs aren't very popular, but even those songs can't really compare to the music of olde, imo.

I totally agree, most modern lyrics seems to just be a bunch of words put together. *old man voice* In the old days lyrics used to either tell a story, have a meaning, or at least be interesting.
The noise that people call ''modern music'' is like a modern impressionist's painting. It's new, but we all know it's ugly.
I mean, you do need to experiment with different styles, but, like I said, it all sounds the same now.

The 80s alliance will be formed in 2023.
Yes, and we are ignoring the fact that basically everyone uses AUTOTUNE? Like, back in the day, they had to actually sing, and couldn't just depend on technology to put their voice on tune.

Yeah, I mean AUTOTUNE? That's just not right.
Indeed, they really had to work hard to get where they where, and that showed through their music.

Yeah, it's like, why are you a singer if you can't sing on tune? Why do you write songs if you can't write good melodies and lyrics? Literally, people are even trying to take away the last skill you actually need: instruments. Like, I get ads all the time for "royalty free sound loops" that you just drag and drop, and like, it doesn't even sound great, but people use it, and think it sounds great.

Like, I hope music doesn't get even worse.
Yep, AUTOTUNE may be able to keep you in tune, but that's all you'll be, if that's all you do.
When I hear songs on the radio, the only ones that stand out are the ones that are different, but even those aren't nice, because they are ONLY different.
Let's hope not. *Music gets sung my a robot with all the musicality of ''a robot''.* Oh dear.

Well there's actually some AI that can create original music (you need to put in some criteria, like genre, instrumentation, speed, and key), but it actually makes pretty decent songs (no lyrics, just music). Well, they're decent compared to everything nowadays, but they definitely still can't beat a human's best work.

I'll have to look up some vids of it sometime, sounds interesting.

It's very interesting, but it still doesn't seem real enough. Like, it's all midi files, so naturally it sounds fake-ish, and it still doesn't sound like it has enough life, but music these days don't seem to have life anyway.
But anyway, I just don't seem to see the point in AI. We should be making AI for things that are hard and not enjoyable, but things like art should be kept by humans only imo, since people live for art, but that's off topic.

I see, yes, it seems people want to use AI just for the sake of using AI. Before they program AI to make music, they should know how to make good music themselves.
Seriously, though. I might've never given the Rolling Stone's much of a chance, but like, the Beatles.
I think the Beatles' work is higher quality overall, but the Stones just stuck around and were consistently excellent. :{P
Hmm. I just don't really like the stones. I find Paul and John's voices just so much better than Jagger's, and like, idk, I just like the Beatles' writing and instrumentation, and producing. I just like the Beatles better than the Rolling Stones.

That's fair, Jagger is kind of an acquired taste. :{P He dances better than any Beatle though, :{P
