Or maybe they just quit swim entirely and the kids at my skill level who I did not know about were in the other group. Who knows. I was halfway decent for a little kid
Fair, homeschool groups can be finnicky. I loved the water when I was little but was terrified of the diving board

The diving board was scary when I was a little kid, but I got over it by the time I was 8 or 9 I think

My swim instructor asked about my favorite candy then bribed me with it the next session to get me to jump.

You finished undergrad, a break is reasonable.
I've also been volunteering this summer doing stuff for a CG conference and somehow that position offers more perks than my actual internship.
