What do y'all think of this as a thread idea?

In a Nutshell - describing a book, film, other media in as simple and quirky way as possible?

For instance: LOTR - Some dude makes an ancient, super powerful ring that controls its wearer. The ring falls into the hands of a small humanoid who must get the help of nine other humanoids - three other small humanoids; an elf with a bow and a dwarf with an axe who don't do much in the story but like counting orcs; a man who wants to be king; another man who wants the ring (and I guess wants to be king too); and a wizard who does some funky tricks like changing colour. There are loads of baddies - big ugly ones mostly but there's this one skinny small one who wants the ring bad. In fact everyone wants the ring. After much adventuring, the nine good guys (except man number 2, who expires) succeed - alive - in their quest by chucking the ring into a volcano. Some of them go to the Grey Havens.

I think that topic would be just fine.

There's been some talk about a Halloween party topic. What does everyone think?
