First, I'm sorry for being completely gone for half a year. You might have noticed that I was seriously declining in activity for a while, and that was pretty much because I was running out of things to actually say here, and because I increasingly had other things in my life to worry about. I think from now on I will only be moderately active on this place, since having about a dozen posts each day is just unrealistic for me. At least I'm back.
Second, if you're wondering why I'm back now, it's because I actually found something great to talk about right now: we now have set names for the Summer 2020 Ninjago sets.
They are:
71717 Journey to the Skull Dungeons 71718 Wu’s Battle Dragon 71719 Zane’s Mino Creature 71720 Fire Stone Mech 71721 Skull Sorcerer’s Dragon 71722 Skull Sorcerer’s Dungeon

Ah yes, it's that time of the year when LEGO starts to reveal the next set of products. I guess *rumors have it that some of the sets combined will contribute to a board game experience.
*by rumors, I guess it's just what the people say when they went to the toy fair since pictures aren't allowed.

I've also heard of that rumour. Honestly, since it's very vague, I'm not sure how this will be accomplished or if it's even true at all. Maybe it could be interesting? I just hope it doesn't detract from the main builds and that the sets will still be just as good as the last 3 waves.

These sets interest me quite a bit, although I'm kind of afraid that we're just getting knockoff Skulkin as the villains for the new season. But everything sounds pretty cool: I'm especially looking forward to Journey to the Skull Dungeons and Wu's Battle Dragon. As for Legacy--I have no idea why they decided to remake the Kai Fighter, since it seemed (to me) inconsequential in the show. I guess it appeared a decent number of times. And we all knew they'd make a Legacy Bounty at some point, which sounds really good, although I've heard it might have a price tag of ~$150.
Also, I read somewhere that 71719 is called Zane's Rhino Creature, which makes slightly more sense than "Mino." I guess we'll see which one it is eventually.

I guess we'll find out when the sets get actually released and we see what they look like. I'm sure they thought it through.

If they're remaking a Legacy set, I think they should've remade the Golden Master's three-legged walker. Not the whole Battle for Ninjago City set, just a beefed-up walker with the Overlord and Zane. Basically, the Golden Mech treatment. That would be cool.

An image of all the 6 main sets in the wave has now been leaked. They look really small in the image, though, so it's very hard to understand much from it. So far, I am liking the looks of the Journey to the Skull Dungeons and Skull Sorcerer's Dungeon. Most of the Skull Sorcerer's Dragon is hidden, but I am interested to see what the actual build looks like.
There's also a rumour that the villains will include trolls, goblins and skeletons. Make of that what you will.

Man, it really will be a Ninjago RPG. I'm having second thoughts. =P

I meant to say, "If they're remaking a Rebooted set". Don't know why I wrote Legacy there.

The ninja need to improve their magic defense stats. They're often getting their powers stolen by enemies.

I don't know why you wrote Legacy either, but I will say that I completely missed that. =P

That would be interesting. I have the original three-legged walker and I'm not sure there's really much room for improvement, though. It essentially has all the details it had in the show. Still, I guess it wouldn't have to be that different, and it would be cool for people who didn't get the original to have it in set form.

Some of the minifigures have been leaked, and yes, it's a fantasy wave with goblins and skeletons as villains.
The skeletons look different, though, being black and looking as if there are cursed spirits like the ones from Possession inside of them. The goblins, on the other hand, are pretty standard, like anything you would expect from a fantasy theme. But the Skull Sorcerer is actually interesting, mostly because of the big bat-like wings and the face (or mask?) that honestly looks kind of alien to me.
The ninja now have knight armour and come with some genuinely good peices for fans of fantasy, like Jay's shield. I even think that, besides the masks, they could be passed off as actual fantasy characters.
