Hey, guys! So here's the surprise I've been working on for the last couple of months. An LMBE story! Now, please DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED TO READ THIS, y'all DON'T have to if you don't want to. If you do read this weird, crazy adventure, I really hope you enjoy it. There are a couple things I'm going to clarify real quick. First of all, this story takes place in the realm/country/land of Elembia (L-M-B, plus 'a' ), specifically in the capital city, the Eternal City. Secondly, through the story, references are made to things like "The Dark Mods" and "Ancient Elembia", these refer to a force of evil moderators who shut down the galleries and Original LMBs, and the Official LEGO Message Boards respectively.
“At last! It’s mine! I hold the power!” I lifted the object high into the air and cackled gleefully. With the crash of thunder, jagged bolts of lightning split the stormy night sky, palely outlining myself and the other cloaked figures in the darkness.
Wait. Stop. That’s not right. You think I’m some kind of psychopath villain now, don’t you? Ha. HA. Well, let me tell you something, miss or mister, you have no context of the situation. Let me explain. No, actually, don’t. I’m not going to ruin the story. How about this, you go get a cup of tea (or nasty coffee) or something and then come back and I’ll tell you the whole story, starting from the beginning, not the middle. Sound good? Excellent.
Alright, first off, I, Neko of the Elembia’s Eternal City, am not a criminal. Quite the opposite, actually. I mean, I’m no mod, but I’m definitely a loyal citizen of Eternal City. I was even interviewed once on the LMBENN and they don’t interview criminals, now do they? So, before you get any crazy ideas about that first paragraph, let me tell you the whole story, starting from the beginning. I’m a normal Eternal citizen, originally from the old Galleries, but that’s another story altogether. I make a living as a writer and part-time artist, and I once temporarily worked at the Sweets Cafe. I like hang out with my group of friends at Finding Friendships and other places, like Writer’s Chat and Welcome to Brickbook. I’m a fan of Ninjago so I spend a lot of time in the Ninjago district of the city, same for Disney and Castle. Oh yeah, and I have a cat who, like a pirate’s parrot, always sits on my shoulder. His name is Frost and he’s probably my best non-human friend. He can talk too, by the way, supposedly he’s descended of an ancient clan of warrior cats, or so he claims. Currently, I was preparing for an important…mission, you could say. We, actually.
My friend, Epl317 , or Eli, was helping. He and his former sensei, Tadito Quantum Hedgehog, were animé fans and a meme force to be reckoned with. They weren’t exactly the mods favorite citizens for their edgy use of animé references. That was before though. Before Tad disappeared. No one knows what happened to him. One day he was there, the next…POOF! Gone, just like that. No messages, no clues, no crime scene. Or that’s what the mods say. The mod detectives assigned to the case wouldn’t reveal anything about his disappearance or let anyone in his apartment. Anyways, that’s the past. Currently, considering certain objectives for our project, I was surprised Eli agreed to help me but I was glad he did. I was in the bedroom of my apartment, gathering up the necessary equipment. I slung the bag of, ahem, tools over my shoulder and walked toward the door. I glanced in the mirror as I past it, both frowning and smirking at the reflection staring back at me. My dark brown hair was in a thick braid over my shoulder, with uneven bangs framing my greenish-gold eyes and pale face. I was wearing a dark red shirt with a Wings of Fire emblem on the front, dark, dark denim jeans and a black zip-up hoodie. Anyways, I tucked my phone into my pocket and rushed out of my room to the front door. I took the elevator down to the lobby and casually walked out the apartment’s doors. Bright, golden sunlight greeted me as I stepped outside, making my eyes water. I blinked blink several times, wishing it were night, and looked around. There were people--Eternal City citizens--everywhere, talking and walking on the sidewalks, which buzzed with activity, hover-cars and hover-bikes whizzing past on both sides.

I'm loving this so far!
I feel like this might accurately recount what happened to me and why I disappeared
This is amazing so far! I love your interpretation of the LMBE and the relationship between the users and the mods, and the anime events of Tad and Eli work so well! I look forward to reading, and of course, moderating the rest of this story.

Tall buildings rose up all around me, apartments like the one I lived in, stores, small shops, the occasional mall, as well as places like Finding Friendships, a club of sorts, for anyone, and the Writer’s Chat, a club for writers and so one. Building like the latter two filled much of the city, especially in the center of the city where I lived. From here, I could see the top of the Mod Tower, a great skyscraper that reached high above the rest of the buildings in the city, as though it were looking over the others. The whole city was bright and cheery and full of neon signs and whatnot, reminding me of futuristic Ninjago City, but without the Japanese influence. This was home. I hurried around to the back of the apartment, to its parking lot, and quickly found my hover-bike. In Eternal City, you had to be fifteen to get a hover-car. Naturally, I was still too young, at fourteen. I’m always the youngest. Always. The bike was sleek and shaped similarly to a racing bike but in place of the tires, there were two anti-grav power cells which kept the bike a good few inches above ground when it was turned on. It had been painted white and blue when I bought it but I’d given it a black makeover and added flame details on the sides. The bike began to hum as I hopped on and started it up. I typed in the coordinates on the holo-screen and the bike shifted smoothly into motion. Adjusting the bike to the speed-limit, I held on and enjoyed the ride. After about twenty minutes, I was parked into front of Eli’s house in the Ninjago district, halfway across the city, and I hopped off. I walked up to the door and knocked, two sharp sounds. The door opened, revealing Eli. He looked a lot like Porter Robinson, with very dark hair and pale skin. The fact that he looked like one of his favorite song artists was uncanny. Appearance aside, he and I were old friends, one might say, having both come to Eternal City as refugees after our home, the Old Galleries, was attacked and destroyed by the Dark Mods.

“Everything’s ready.” I told him with a triumphant smirk. “We’re ready to roll.” “Are you sure? Absolutely positive?” He asked. We’d been preparing for this for a while now. “Yep, I’ve double checked, and triple checked.” I assured, then gestured to our bikes. “Let’s go!” “Right!” He nodded as we hopped on our hover-bikes. We took the quickest route to our destination, cutting straight through the city at the painfully slow speed limit (slow in my opinion, at least). Soon, after passing the small Pirates district and the much larger Harry Potter district, we came to beginning of our destination. The beautiful, elegant Mod Tower Gardens wrapped around the Mod Tower, spreading out in a circle, easily three acres large. Guards were stationed everywhere. Not that people weren’t allowed to visit the gardens, but the guards were there to make sure people didn’t get to the Tower. Too bad for them. Eli and I parked outside the gardens in the nearest parking lot and then went over the plan again. “...so after we meet back up again in the top room, you’ll enter the code,” Eli said. “Yep, then you’ll stand guard to watch for you-know-who, while I grab the you-know-what which shall-not-be-named.” I finished with a nod. “Sounds good to me.” “Same, let’s go.” He replied and darted away into the gardens. I silently bid him good luck and then ducked into the hedge around most of the gardens as a guard neared. Admittedly, I’m not fond of taking a faceful of leaves and twigs but I had little other choice. Carefully, quietly, I climbed through the hedge to the other side, on the inside of the gardens. The part I was in was filled with a grove of thick, bushy trees, tall bushes and large, wide bushes cut into shapes. There were paths on either sides and the part of garden was triangular and led up to the tower.
