Zigackly. That's the whole point. People don't even get it unless they know about the CON pun, and the more obscure the pun, the better.
There are actually a few situations where JON fits better than CON, but those are pretty rare.
Oh, I see. So it's a meta joke based on the Con pun, thereby making the Con pun stronger.
Hmmm... let me think... I don't know, I got nothin'.
Well yes to the first part, but its obscureness makes it more powerful than the CON pun. Also the CON pun is weaker now because CON is no longer very active.
Aha, I espy Count Dooku (or Darth Tyrannus). I didn't know he said that, but a more famous quote is
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
(Which makes me wonder why people used to put an "an" before words starting with h-vowel.)
However, my statement was not of pride, but of purely fact.
He says that in Revenge of the Sith, in response to Anakin's claim that "my powers have doubled since the last time we met." Your statement about your power growing reminded me of this, hence my response. But yes, it is very clearly based on that Proverb.
And I suppose people used to put "an" before h-words because they didn't pronounce the H? For example, "This is an historic day." could be pronounced "This is an-istoric day."
Ah, I see. I actually have only watched The Phantom Menace, The Force Awakens, and The Last Jedi. I didn't even know that Anakin fought him. And my statement probably was prideful.
I do know that is why they did it conceptually (I've seen "an historic" many times) but it just doesn't make sense to me that people wouldn't pronounce the h.

Well, Henny did one talking about JONk food.
Perhaps not more powerful, just more hipster. Also it will never be anywhere near as CONvenient.

That's an interesting selection of films to have watched without any of the others. I mean, obviously it was jokingly prideful but yes it was prideful.
Right, well languages just evolve over time and sometimes that leads to strange rules and relics of past grammar. Especially with a language like this one that has been derived from so many different places.
The title pretty much says it all, without all the nostalgia and reminiscing I'm going to litter the rest of this post with.
Anyways, I'm stepping down from my position as moderator. As some of you may have noticed, my activity on here has been spotty, and while I've been a little more active behind the scenes, I'm still not super present to the community right now. That's not due to me running out of time, that's me running out of energy. The LMBEs just haven't been as much fun for me this summer. As such, I think it might (finally) be time for Con to move on.
I've made a ton of friends on here and on the original LMBs, and there's no way I could do them all justice in this post, so y'know, I'm not even gonna try. I hope to still hop on here occasionally, so saying good-bye feels weird anyways.
Y'all have been a big part of my life, I can't count the hours spent on here, but I can count the posts. 14,000+ on the LMBs, and now 27,000+ on here. That's huge. I don't regret a second of it. I hope you guys rock on and keep this place going.
I leave behind as my greatest contribution...my part of the meme theme. Oh, and my stories. Maybe one day I'll finish CIRCUITS. To all the stories I was reading, I hope to catch up again sometime. Reading everybody's stories was always one of my favorite parts of being on here.
Wait, WHAT?! I guess ya do miss out on a lot when you go inactive! Wait...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................he didn't tag me..............................
