"Skylor, how could you have been able to do all this?" Nya asked, staring at the blueprint Skylor had added notes to. She also helped her with redesigning parts entirely, and she was able to help build by welding and hammering. Nya was astounded.
Skylor, however, raised an eyebrow at her remark. Nya saw, and stuttered.
"Nonono, I meant, I just,-"
Skylor chuckled. "It's fine. If I were you, I'd be surprised too."
Nya laughed. "When did you learn all of this?"
"Oh, being with Karlof mostly for the past week taught me a thing or two or more about these things." Skylor shrugged.
"Of course! When you continue to listen to him, you'll get the idea eventually." They both laughed, and with that, they went back to work.
Upon welding metal onto metal, Skylor caught sight of Tox, skulking alone in the shadows. Her leader instincts kicked in, even though Lloyd was leading the Resistance now. She decided to drop her work and maybe ask Shade to talk to his friend.
"I'm taking five, Nya!"
"You better be back at two!" Nya yelled over her welding. Skylor laughed.
Shade, as alert as ever, straightened up directly when he saw Skylor approach. Maybe he thought she was giving him a secret mission, solo. In fact, it's a sort of that, in Skylor's point of view.
"Hi, Shade. Can I ask you for something?"
"Anything," Shade said, his eyes widened, perhaps in excitement, thought Skylor. She could've sworn he glanced at Nya. Probably he thought she wanted to trade place with her, so that he could hang with the water Master. Or maybe he thought he was gonna have a second go at the indoor crane.
"I need you to talk to Tox for me." Skylor supposedly crushed all the hope for a sense of excitement Shade was obviously wishing for.
Shade cocked an eyebrow. "Why?"
"You know why, Shade. What happened with Chamille anyway? Tox looks heartbroken 'cause of it."
Shade flinched. Oof, maybe Skylor shouldn't have said heartbroken. Good thing Tox wasn't there.
Shade stopped to think. Skylor could hear the TV turn on, and that stupid SoG show was on. Karlof said something about her being mean.
Finally, he nodded. Skylor smiled thankfully, and Shade returned it. He went to Tox, Skylor wishing the best for him.
Still, though, she kept her head to the ground arms crossed. "Hey Shadow."
She saw Shade jump back in surprise. 'Yeah, I saw you coming, buddy.'
"Uh, hi, greenie." Shade hesitated, then sat next to her on a flat piece of scrap metal.
Tox sighed, then decided to sit too.
Silence ensued. Tox wondered what Shade was going to say, not minding a bit about how he interrupted her brooding. Technically, she still is, because Shade hadn't uttered a single word. He just kept clearing his throat and tapping his fingers rhythmically on his seat. Maybe he came only to sit beside her. Nah, he likes his own company better. Then he was actually going to talk to her. But about what? And why isn't he talking yet?
Desperate to get answers to her internal questions, Tox chose to start first. "So, what-"
"Karlof!". Both Shade and Tox looked up, seeing Mistakè descend the stairs from the supervisor's box.
"Can I ask for your help with Lloyd's training?" She asked.
'Oh, I gotta see this.' Tox shot up and walked to the others. She had immediately forgotten about Shade, though immediately reminded when he stood up too.
She felt somewhat guilty. Even though she acts all "I could care less" with people, Shade is her old friend. And more importantly, Chamille's friend first. He probably hates her as much as she does right now, and as betrayed as she does too. Tox turned to Shade, and he stopped, confused.
"Hey, talk later?" She asked him.
Shade chuckled, completely stricken with surprise. "Sure, greenie."

ehehehehehehehehehe Uhhhhh I don't know what you're talking about......
*Suspicious smirk intensifies*
No, seriously, I don't I'm hitting a writer's block here, cause I've never shipped Tox or Shade with anyone, then this happened and caught me totally off guard
