"I have her here," Winston said. "She's in bad shape."
"She looks like she nearly froze to death," Tracer said, before looking, a bit betrayed, at Mei.
"I wasn't there," Mei said in defense. She looked back. "There's a frozen container on the ground. She must have been in that."
"Talon does have some cruel methods," Lena admitted. "After seein' what happened to Widow, y'know..."
"Yeah," Mei replied.
"I'll give her my coat," Tracer offered, beginning to take it off, revealing a plain white tee underneath.
"No!" Winston replied. "Who knows what it could do to your chronal accelerator?"
Tracer sighed. "Well, even if it stops working, it's worth the sacrifice to make sure she's okay again."
"I'll give her my coat," Mei said. "I want you to stay warm, after being in that cold underground." She took off her own coat and draped it over Emily's shoulders.
"It's rather cold tonight, Mei." Tracer looked concerned. "Are you sure you'll be alright?"
Mei giggled. "I was in cryosleep for nine years. I should be fine."
Tracer took Emily from Winston and looked her in the eyes. "You'll be alright, love. You're in good hands." She smiled up at Winston and Mei.
Lloyd and his friends arrived late, panting, looking tired.
"We got here as soon as we could," Lloyd announced.
"Ugh, is the battle over already?" Kai crossed his arms. "We've been through so much to get here and there's nothing here!"
"That is an incorrect assumption, Kai." Zane, a tall Omnic with what looked like a flattop, calmly corrected his friend. "There is a girl who appears to have a case of hypothermia."
"And a talking gorilla," Jay added. "And a girl with a chronal accelerator on her chest." To himself, he muttered, "Man, that thing is cool."
Tracer giggled a bit at Jay, then looked down with a sad expression. "Can you do anything about Emily? It would mean so much."
"Right," Kai replied. He kneeled down and created fire in his hands, holding it close but not close enough to burn.
"Are you...naturally making fire from your hands?" Winston asked curiously.
"Are you a talking gorilla?" Kai retorted. "We discussed this. You guys all have this fancy technology, and that's cool and all, but we're natural elemental masters."
"Kai." Zane spoke calmly. "They may not recall, and that is alright. Human memory has its faults, as does Omnic memory." With a chuckle, he added. "And gorilla memory."
Winston chuckled as well.
"As long as he's makin' 'er warm again," Tracer muttered.
Emily's eyelids fluttered. Kai lifted his hands, putting out the fire. "What...happened?"
"Um... it's...quite hard to explain, luv," Tracer replied. "I'm just glad you're okay."
"I feel warmth again," Emily added. "But it's cold outside."
"It's all thanks to me," Kai replied triumphantly. Mei gave him a look. "Oh, and Mei's jacket, I guess."
"Hey, Tracer talked about you!" Jay added. "You're Emily, right? Who hogs the blankets? Who watches the most TV? Do you sleep together or apart? Who chats all night and who just wants to sleep?"
Zane sighed. "Jay, it would be respectful not to get into people's business."
"Sorry. I'm such a big fan," Jay whispered to Tracer, who smiled a bit nervously.
Emily looked a bit uncomfortable, and Tracer helped her up. "Are we going home now?" she asked.
"I'll pay for dinner," Lloyd offered.
"Well...I guess it would be good to get to know you better," Tracer said. "Besides, I'm starving." She looked towards her roommate. "You okay?"
"Yeah," Emily replied.
"I promise we'll go somewhere warm for you," Tracer replied. "I know a good soup and sandwich place around here. I'll drive if you want."
"Sounds like you know your way around." Cole spoke up.
"Of course she does," Jay whisper-yelled. "She has a British accent!"
Tracer fought hard to hold back a laugh, but it just came out. She sighed and chuckled under her breath even after.
Nya chuckled and walked over to talk to Tracer. "Sorry about my boyfriend. You kinda have to get used to him to understand."
"No, it's fine," Tracer replied. "He seems like a funny guy. Now, are we going or not?"
Lloyd and his friends arrived late, panting, looking tired.

Once the group waa at the restaurant, Lena hung her coat on her chair and sat down with a small sigh. Once Emily had sat by her, she took it off the chair and gave it to her. Emily smiled and pulled it over her shoulders. Lena spaced out for a bit as Emily adjusted her position.
"Tracer?" Jay snapped Lena out of her trance. "How'd you find this place? It's nice."
"Since we're friends now, you can call me Lena," she replied. "Lena Oxton. And...I've been coming here for some years now so I don't exactly remember."
"Well, I'm glad it's warm in here," Mei added. "It was cold and I went without a coat for a while."
"As long as it helped Emily," Tracer replied, sending a sympathetic glance toward her roommate.
Mei smiled a bit as well, somewhat shyly. "Yeah."
Zane was eating calmly, which puzzled Lena. "No offense, but I thought Omnics couldn't-"
"We can," Zane replied. "We simply have no need to, unlike humans. It is nice to consume food every now and then."
"Good to know," Lena replied.
"I wonder why Zenyatta never eats when we go out though," Emily added.
"He probably has no desire to," Zane explained. "Some of us are like that."
Kai coughed somewhat suspiciously.
"Anything you would like to say, Kai?" Zane leaned in.
"No, no, you're fine," Kai replied. These stupid Omnics... it's like they don't know what privacy is.
"So, tell us about youself, Lena!" Cole changed the subject before any trouble could be caused. "You seem like a nice enough chick."
"Um..." Lena cleared her throat. "Well, I come from the eastern part of London, grew up in kind of a hard situation, but eventually I joined Overwatch and left my family. I was a test pilot, kept trying out all these cool jets...one day, they wanted me to try out a time-traveling fighter, and it sort of...broke down. I was still in it, and they said they thought I was dead, but I was somewhere else."
"Go on," Jay said, leaning in in interest.
"I was a ghost. I wasn't quite there. I mean, I guess I was still alive, but...I wasn't exactly grounded in reality. They called it chronal disassociation. Eventually, Winston found me and built this-" --she pointed to her chest device- "-and now I'm here!" She giggled.
"I know how you feel," Cole said. "I was among those at a museum of history when they were testing a time-traveling exhibit. The thing exploded, and since I had left something, I was the only one who didn't escape. I basically turned into a ghost. I couldn't touch anything, and I kept disappearing, but I knew I was there, if barely. Eventually I found an expert who cured my disassociation and made me even better than before, but I feel like sometimes the symptoms come back." He turned to Lena. "Why did you never get a cure?"
"Because it's been years and it's starting to feel like a part of me," Lena replied. "If I did, I wouldn't be able to do the things I do now."
"How do you take a shower?" Jay blurted out. "Or get dressed?"
"I don't have to wear this all the time," Lena admitted. "I can put it somewhere near me and it still works. I just put it by the door, usually."
"Oh," Jay replied. "Let me know if you need it fixed. I grew up among inventors and engineers, so I think I can do something."
"Oh, that's very sweet of you," Lena replied with a nervous laugh, "but Winston already takes care of the repairs."
"Oh, I see. I mean, that guy, just by existing, is cool. Just the thought of a hyper-intelligent gorilla, and then he made THAT!" Jay laughed. "I think he has a new fan!"
Lena laughed. "A fan, huh?"
"He's a fan of everything, pretty much." Cole shrugged.
Jay laughed a little. "Yup. Just ask my buddy over here, he knows."
"His birthfather is a famous actor, so I think that helps," Cole whispered.
"Wait, how did you know I was adopted?" Jay gasped. "I never told you that!"
"You were whispering about him last time you watched Starfarer," Cole replied. "You were all like, 'That's my dad!' and I was like, 'What?'"
"You heard me?" Jay whispered loudly.
"You aren't exactly the quietest whisperer," Cole replied with a shrug. "Anyway, can someone please pass the pepper?"

Typical Jay. Cole's reaction tho. xD Loving the story, Z&E!!
