Chapter 9 part 2
All was dark, with the exception of an overhead light. Jay looked down. He was tied to a chair, along with Zane and Cole.
"Finally, you're up!"
"Where's Lloyd?" asked Jay.
"They took him. The oni."
Jay realized he was bleeding on the forehead.
"The dagger they threw. It hit us."
To Jay, Zane looked like a silver blob. He obviously got knocked out cold; His vision was horrible. Zane seemed to have wires coming out of his cheek. Wait-he did! He had a large dent in his cheek, with blue and black wires coming out through a small newly formed crack.
"How long was I knocked out?"
"Almost an hour. You got hit hard!" replied Cole.
"Why haven't you gotten out yet, Cole? You have super strength, remember?"
"The oni took our powers."
"We're helpless. Even I am. They took out all my built in weapons."
"How did they manage that?"
"They have their ways."
Jay sighed. Who knew when they'd manage to get out?
