I'm in a dorm, but it's really nice, because everything is. Good to hear. I feel like the transition was super easy.
My dorm has been nicknamed the dump by a rival dorm, but who cares, cause they CONe from the prison. It was over-hyped as being hard. The hardest part was my orientation camp, probs.
I don't doubt that it's going to get hard for me, since I'm in engineering, but it's been pretty manageable so far. Maybe they did hype it up a little too much, though; at my orientation, they told us a dozen times that this would be the hardest thing we've ever done.

All the senior stuff looks so scary right now, hopefully it gets better as we get closer. My orientation thing was kind of stupid, and the people heading it up kind of knew it was stupid.

Honestly, I haven't even given a proper look at my projected four-year schedule, which might be a problem. Sounds like a fun time. My orientation was in two parts - one in the summer and one in the week before school started. I missed an event at the beginning of the second part, and I was kind of lost for the rest of the week.

You read any of the books, or seen the films, or the TV show? 
Films and TV shows no, but I have read a few excerpts from the books in my literature courses over the years.
