*Looks back at him not saying anything* He can see that Tasha's terrified. Horse slides to a stop outside. *Hops lightly on to it's back*
The man gives a comforting smile. "Everything's all right, lass. If --."
He is interrupted by Tall Wymond, who arrives just behind the horse. "Nex' time, jus' ask me --."
And Tall Wymond is interrupted by Randel, who has just stomped down the stairs and marched up to the door. To Tall Wymond, he shouts. "In th' mornin', w're buyin' a new bed." He turns, pointing at Tasha. "You, girl! Y'can stay in th' stables if y'wan'. Full price!" He turns again, now facing the broad-shouldered man. "Ev'nin', Anders. Y're late!" And then he stomps away, toward the kitchens.
The broad-shouldered man -- Anders -- looks at Tasha. "He won't charge you full price. He's just in a bad mood." Tall Wymond nods agreement.
*Slowly slips off horse, still keeping a watchful eye on Anders* "I can pay full if those are the terms." *She says to Tall Wymond, still not trusting of Anders*

OOC: I'm not trying to say that they can't do it. I just want some vaguely plausible explanation, since you have to interact with characters you don't control. Perhaps Llewnar walks up to the front entrance to distract Randel or Gruntil could climb up on the stables and in through a second floor window. Just something to tell me you're not discounting the environment in which the action takes place.

OOC: Ooh, a new character! What class did you have in mind? I'd guess Knight or Knight-Rogue. Also, I'm interested in his backstory: specifically, where was he and what was he doing about a year and a month ago? (The same question goes for Tasha.)
