RuleJJ , I've got a question concerning the Rider of Paladeen RP (and I thought it'd be best to post this question here rather than there, I could be wrong ); is it all right for one to use character they'd already started to use in a previous RP in the Castles forum?
Well, I was planning on using Azril (assuming that's who you're talking about) in the next story, but I'm still a ways away from introducing him, so if you really want to use him I could work around that pretty easily. I might ask you to change his last name a little, though, because I don't want it to sound like he's Leif's son.
Alternatively, if you wan't me to spoil the next story for you (there's a decent chance I won't finish it, anyway), Azril could appear in both.
I do have some different ideas for how we could work with Azril. I'm going to list them now, to save time.
Option 1: You don't use Azril in the RP. I use him in the story. Option 2: You use Azril in the RP and I don't use him in the story. Option 3: We both use Azril, the same character appearing in both places. Since the RP takes place 25 years after the story, that would make him 41 if he is 16 in the story. He would have sailed across the sea at some point after the story and decided to join the Riders. Option 4: You use Azril in the RP and I use Azril's father in the story. This would mean Azril's father would have to be a soldier, so his backstory would change somewhat. Azril would have sailed across the sea and decided to join the Riders after hearing his father's stories about them. Option 5: I use Azril in the story and you use Azril's son or daughter in the RP. Azril's child would have sailed across the sea and decided to join the Riders after hearing his father's stories about them.

What do you think?
(Sorry for not replying sooner, I'm having a busy week. xP) Hmm. . . Out of all the options, 2 and 4 appeal the most to me personally. Of course, I'm really quite flexible about it, so if there's an option that works better for you, then by all means go with it.

I'll go with 4 then. We are going to need to give his father a name that's not Leif, and I'll need to fill you in on some of the basics of what happen in the story. I suppose I can do that now.
{Spoilers for "In the Land of the Shattered Crown"} So, the story's impetus is that the Riders need to travel across the ocean to find Korin and Cloventail, because they were heading there for a diplomatic mission and lost contact. The Riders arrive in Ksigyeim March, one of the four southernmost fiefdoms in this kingdom (which has not had a ruler for centuries). While one group goes to search for Korin and Cloventail and Terra has an adventure of her own, Hithrol, Olifin, Emma, Storm, and Raini stay with the southern fiefdoms to help them out. They aid them in the effort to defend themselves against their more powerful northern neighbors, Yuksetach, Sumuik, and Cehragunis, and find allies for them among the Forest Band, trolls, and Wild Men. Azril's father would come in as a new recrut in the Duchy of Alsene's army (one of the other southern fiefdoms alongside Ejadha and Kolgea). He will interact with Hithrol, possibly going on the mission to recruit the Wild Men. Perhaps they save each other's lives at some point. At the end of the story, the Riders go home, and I won't tell you anything else because it's too spoiler-y.

I hope I have the ability to complete it and post it here. Even if I don't, I may post the first few chapters, because they're fun and wrap up a loose end from "Dreamspinner".

Ahh, gotcha. That's great, I can't wait to see what you have in store for us. How long have you been planning Riders of Paladeen?

There wasn't a ton of planning involved, I feel. I have the first mission planned out pretty well, but only general ideas for others. A lot of was already done simply by the world-building previously established, though I think the idea arose while I was writing up a full timeline and member list for the Riders.

That makes sense. I guess it helps that you have so many characters and in such a large, extensive world with much lore and history to it.

There is a lot to it, probably more than I'd ever have imagined when I began writing.
