While we're here, I want to float a project idea by you guys. It's called "The Continuing Adventures of Egolius Grandius Maximus and his Merry Forest Band: An Open Co-Write Adventure." It would be kind of a mix between a co-write and an RP, where you can join, make a character using a profile template I'll be including, and get added to the rotation. We would take turns each writing a story part (limited to one post) from the point of view of our characters. There are a few more rules I have in mind, but I'm not going to get into them right now. What do you think? To me, it seems like it could be a lot of fun, and not a lot of work (as long as enough people are in it).
While I love the idea, I'm currently trying to cut back on CONmitments, so as of right now I shall have to decline.
That's alright. You're the only one who's responded, so it looks like this project isn't happening.
1. What real-life nations are the kingdoms most like? Especially since I have characters from European countries and East Asia.
2. What are the alignments of each faction?
3. How historically accurate does it have to be?
1. None of them are really based on existing countries, but I can give you the languages I use as a base for each. -Vasίlio: Portuguese -Morñornia: Spanish -The Goblin Nation: None, but I use Slavic languages for orcs and goblins. Perhaps Ukrainian. -Aardhemir: Dutch -Anvang Tuni: Several Slavic languages, but primarily Armenian. -Auraboria: Latin, but I also like Cornish for elves. -Sylvania: None, but if I had to choose, German or Swedish. -Harmonia: Latin, but again I might also use some Cornish -Stennev'avfjellan: Norwegian -Oruthal: Greek -The Southern Kingdoms (where the actual RP takes place): Italian, and a little Basque. -Minotaurs: Irish -Southern Isles: Any other Romance languages, such as Corsican or Sicilian, but not French.
2. Everyone's pretty much allied right now. There hasn't been any inter-HQ conflict since the very beginning of the RP, but things are heating up a little between the Dragon Knights and the Forest Band.
3. Not too accurate. There are no firearms or gunpowder of any kind. Fantasy elements are absolutely acceptable, though, within reason. Overall, I'd stress fun over accuracy, as long as you follow the rules.

Okay, because my original characters come from a lot of places and I was wondering where to put them in this universe; for the ones I mainly use:
Spunky Ella and her shy cousin Teddy are British Sweet but anxious Anne is Norwegian Nice but cocky Lukas is Swedish Innocent but headstrong Meilin is Chinese Introverted but sassy Jun is South Korean Dorky, friendly Aleks and his grumpy friend Roman are Russian Caring Adelais is French Bubbly Liliana and her older sister, mature Alessandra, are Italian Reserved Haruka, lazy Anto and his hard-working sister Amai are Japanese Hanna is a Ninjago OC, so she doesn't have a country, but she speaks in a light Irish accent (possibly due to living with some villagers who spoke that way after she lost her memory) Summer is a fox
I won't use all of them of course, I'm just wondering where you'd put them.

I'd probably just put Ella and Teddy in the Southern Kingdoms, so they'd be humans. Anne would be from Stennev'avfjellan, so she'd be a dwarf. Lukas would be a human or an elf, from Sylvania. Aleks and Roman could be orcs or goblins from the Goblin Nation, Anvang Tuni, or the Wilderlands. Adelais would be from the Great Forest. She could be human, elf, orc, or goblin. Liliana and Alessandra would be humans from the Southern Kingdoms. Hanna might be a minotaur, from the Plains or the Wilderlands. Summer would be from Sylvania. Since Meilin, Jun, Haruka, Anto, and Amai would be from cultures foreign to the RP, so they could be from Kahltrain (a continent to the east) or from islands very far south. They could be any of the species in the RP.
Just a question: what is the official travel time?
It's one IRL day to travel through an area. Traveling through the whole Forest would be about five days, and distances in the North would just be proportional to the width of one of the Southern Kingdoms, so you could calculate those from that. As far as time within the RP, I don't know, since we rarely keep track of it.

No problem. I really should have included that in the Rules.
