Ok, then. *My troops are divided into 60 groups of 50, with 20 Mounted archers, 15 Spearmen and 15 Axemen, and these groups spread out into most of the region (but not towards the enemy yet) to avoid being ambushed in a large group.*
*My troops stand ready and wait*
100 Shields of Khand 50 Tsur-Nemu 300 Shields of Fire 40 Aji-Ayangs 30 Dol-Teregs with 2 Gurvan-Gal teams 60 HArmored Chariots with 2 Tsur-Nemu and a Charioteer (can hold one more person) 80 Armored Chariots with Jad-Ereg 80 Armored Chariots with Khorvah-Mori 88 Khorvach-Mori 100 Heavy Cavalry 125 Urd-Shugam 100 Kharvach-Mori 250 Planes-Runner 250 Planes-Walker 200 Elite Crossbowmen 100 Jad-Ereg 500 Archers 60 Variags These are My Troops. This Time I won't have "invincible" trolls, this time I'll have Siege Weapons as fast as horses!
*After sending out Scouts and having them return, and send out 12 groups.* 10 groups have: 4 Aji-Ayangs 40 Planes-Walkers 40 Planes-Runner 25 Heavy Cavalry
2 groups have: 25 Planes-Runners 25 Planes-Walkers 15 Dol-Teregs (manned as said) 40 Armored Chariots with Kharvah-Mori 40 Armored Chariots with Dol-Tereg
*The main 10 groups attack different groups of Rohirrim. The other 2 groups patrol, ready to attack the Rohirrim.*
OOC: Hi Goaty! Let's destroy you! BTW, even if you DO destroy all the cavalry I've sent at you (and how can you, you're going up against a Siege Weapon That can constantly stay at a distance to you, not to mention the other unitry.) then you're going to have to get past my infantry.
OOC2: Sorry for the long post mods. It's not as long as some of them, but it's still a lot.

Right, so, do we just want to start the battle here from scratch again? Mostly for Goaty's sake, and for my own since I lost track of this battle ages ago I also think that in the confusion stemming from the membership crisis troops may have teleported around a little Thoughts?
I essentially did that the second Goaty decided to take control of the troops here. After all, how can I destroy him (with his own types of units too! ) if I'm battling Gondorians and Dwarves?

Um, I don't really want to start arguing already, but you really can't just say "they attack", because that's both useless and not at all specific. I'm set into groups, I have troops on patrol, etc. - you also didn't specify where are you and where you are coming from. Or give stats on your units. So if you could do that real quick, I'll respond ASAP.
(Old stuff here, cutting for size) These are My Troops. This Time I won't have "invincible" trolls, this time I'll have Siege Weapons as fast as horses!
*After sending out Scouts and having them return, and send out 12 groups.* 10 groups have: 4 Aji-Ayangs - Worth 30, Siege on horses 40 Planes-Walkers - Worth 1, archers 40 Planes-Runner - Worth 1, swords 25 Heavy Cavalry - Worth 5, shield sword and axe
2 groups have: 25 Planes-Runners 25 Planes-Walkers 15 Dol-Teregs (manned as said) - 30 worth total, Gurvan-Gal Teams are essentially super-slings that have super-hot ammo 40 Armored Chariots with Kharvah-Mori - Worth 5, long-range bows 40 Armored Chariots with Jad-Ereg - 10 MWE, large darts and large shield.
*The main 10 groups attack different groups of Rohirrim. The other 2 groups patrol, ready to attack the Rohirrim.*

OK then. Stats. . . they're up their now. I came from around where Tuvok is. A bit behind him, but not much. How I attack. . . *The 10 Main groups attack different groups of yours, staying at a distance, letting the Aji-Ayangs destroy units with a spread fire (numerous rocks put in it, then firing.)* *The Other two groups stay back, ready to interfere if the other groups realize what is happening.* Remember, you positioned groups all over the region, meaning that a larger force can pick off your troops real quick. And the way I'm doing it, I won't take any damage due to superior range!
*All Archers have their bows ready to fire if troops come within range.*

*The talk is cut short by MM's attack.* "Ah, shoot, wrong army - well, see you around!"
OOC: If you want Harad, you're in the wrong region. Just Orcs and Khand here. And Khand is a Cavalry/Chariot Based HQ with a fairly decent Infantry as well. You may outnumber my Cavalry overall (or at least you MWE does) but I outnumber your 60 groups by far.

I don't see stats anywhere, but I'm assuming the Aji-Ayangs are some sort of siege weapons? Alright, I'll go ahead and respond now. *As soon as the enemy units are spotted, the troops, already mounted and prepared, bolt, avoiding most of the fire, and regrouping elsewhere out of range.*

Keep in mind the relatively low accuracy of spread firing on small groups Especially at long range

So, I'm back, and I'll be taking over the Rohirrim force here. Bobby told me he had 7,000 MWE here, so I'll go ahead and sort that out and make my units. 1,500 Mounted Archers - 1,500 MWE. 1,000 Mounted Chargers - 2,000 MWE 1,000 Mounted Spearmen - 2,000 MWE 750 Rangers of Rohan - 1,500 MWE
Alright, so, all my forces are relatively spread out, not camping out or anything, and I'm on the far end of the map from the rest of you all. *A force of 50 Mounted Spearmen and 25 Mounted archers set out to scout out the enemy.*
*They can see these troops: Regular army: 2K Wallers, 2,000 MWE 4K Archers, 3,200 MWE 80 Battle Trolls, 800 MWE 1K Swamp Pikemen, 1,000 MWE 1K Orc Snipers, 1,000 MWE 1K Light Warg Skirmishers, 1,000 MWE Generated troops: 500 Crossbowmen, 500 MWE What they can't see up on the high ground: Siege weapons: 20 Dol Guldur Balistae, 400 Seige Worth 83 Scorpons (249 SMWE) *
Alright, two things: 1. There isn't really much high ground in Udun Vale, it's either sheer mountain side or flatish plains. Not to say there isn't any ground that is slightly higher though. 2. It's going to be pretty clear where they are when bolts start raining down from the sky

It was up where I listed the groups, I said the weapons and MWE of each unit. Except the Aji-Ayangs, and they are essentially siege weapons on chariots. *The 10 groups begin herding the horseriders together, so as to trap them between Two Different groups.*

1. What about that hill that Frodo And Sam climbed down and almost got caught by Haradrim? That was High ground. Not super high, but still high ground. 2. Of course it'll be clear, once they start firing. But no-one knows about them, so they can't plan to attack them until they start firing. It's the same as with Stealth Troops. They're good for ambushes, but once the ambush starts it's practically a Free-for-all.

I have as much time as I need After all, they can't get word to the other Rohirrim, and it would be foolhardy to get within arrow range of any of my groups (because that I greatly outnumber each of his groups. Might even outnumber two of his groups )

The high ground is basically all the rubble from the collapsed gate. So what?
