*The trolls are decimated at such close range by the snipers and the artillery switch targets to the Dol Guldur Ballistae, stopping shooting each as they are disabled. As the trolls fall several crossbowmen target the troops behind them*
OOC: They can be repaired, but it will take one or two battle turns.
IC: *Many of the shieldbearers pull back to defend the artillery, leaving the Gondorian and Rohirrim lines in a rough shield wall box. The Halberdiers rush back to their own front lines in formation, but the cavalry beat them there. The Sigun-thark take up a defensive position in front of your cavalry, preparing to hold the line at all costs.*
*The Kheleburk stealth towards your testudo, taking advantage of the limited visibility it gives your troops to get close undetected, as well as their dark grey camouflage. They plant special anti-infantry caltrops (Basically smaller version designed to pierce boots) in front of your testudo without it noticing, and wait for it to break as the front line encounters the caltrops. They hold a vial of blinding powder and their katana in their hands. A few hold small jars of a flammable liquid, designed to ignite and create a small explosion (More of a bang really but still very disorientating when in a tight formation, plus the short-lived flames, also very distracting when in a tight space . Like a miniature petrol bomb, but way less efficient and explosive) when they are broken.*
OOC: You can see what's about to happen, so please let it, this is my greatest idea for a long while Also it's hard to avoid since they don't have much of a way of receiving warning as the dwarvish lines are a decent way back from the Gondorians and thus Haradrim and Orcish lines.
I am very confused by these quick, fast dwarves. Dwarves do not quietly sneak towards the enemy and sabotage them. Dwarves relentlessly attack the enemy and overwhelm them with strength and skill. Elves I can see sabotaging formations like this, but never Dwarves.
Most dwarves are like that, yes, but KK designed these Dwarves to be like 'Battlefield ninja' My interpretation is that they are faster and more stealthy. (KitKat, please confirm/disprove)

*The Aji-Ayangs spread fire over these troops before the Cavalry come in.* *Archers amongst them fire back* *The Tsur-Nemu use the Trolls as shields, getting closer than the trolls, to close for Artillery's power.*
OOC: This is the smartest idea here. And we also use the Tustedo. And yeah, this is really fun.
*Dwarves try to move out of the way of some ballistae bolts, but several hit because of the fairly tightly packed formation. All troops in the front lines take up a stance to defend against cavalry, also Tuvok's cavalry* *Crossbowmen fire back at the archers when they have an opportunity, but they are often busy targeting closer troops* *These trolls are also targeted by the snipers targeting Tuvok's trolls. The snipers also target the Tsur-Nemu when they are exposed when the trolls fall*
OOC: Sorry I didn't reply to this earlier, I think I have memory loss, because I have forgotten to reply to/read a ton of posts I'm going to wait until you reply to this to reply to your other move, but there will be arguing involved I also know that some of this is a bit disjointed with the rest, sorry about that, but it's hard to make both the replys make sense together.
That's more 'most hit' than 'several hit'

IC: The ballistae being on the high ground are hard to hit yet can hit you well, Not all the trolls are smashed and the very few that survive successfully retreat, before your troops can form up my calvary has already hit the front of your lines, my ranged troops continue to fire, the Phlanax part of the infantry formation charges into your lines as the Tustedo keeps the ranged troops safe. As the Pikemen approach the area where your traps are their training comes into play and they take less damage as expected.
Wait, I don't understand your phalanx and testudo. To me, a / indicates one or the other, not both, plus you said they both were charging. I would respond differently if I knew this information before. Where'd the pikemen come from? Are they in a phalanx or a testudo and how does training help avoid small spikes in the ground that are a similar colour to it (dark grey)

It was a mix, the Wallers fell back a bit and the pikemen continued on. And these are semi-steath units, kinda like the marines except with everyday weapons and little armor, they have the training to find traps and other such things that other orcs don't.

Tuvok, one does not simply stealth in a testudo formation, or a phalanx, and otherwise in such a barren and flat landscape there is no way for them to hide unless the troops looking for them have their vision obscured somehow. Besides, how can you have a mix of phalanx and testudo, they are two very different formations. I see how they could find the traps now, but I put them down in front of what I thought was a charging testudo, not semi-stealth troops. If you don't mind, after you reply to this I would like to null my previous move and redo it based on the information I now have, which creates a very different picture in my head. Sorry about my misunderstandings and my slightly accusative tone, I'm not thinking very well at the moment or feeling very well. Please don't take this tone to mean I am angry either, just a bin insane

They weren't tying to stealth. I can, it may not be very effective, but I can. I gave you this info OOC, and I thought I made it perfectly clear when I entered the region, your troops cannot know whether me pikemen are swamp pikemen or not as they have only seen the ones I have sent now, using OOC data IC is metagaming.

Tuvok, I think he's saying that he misunderstood what your formation was, and that what he needs to change.

Whoops, I forgot a in that first sentence I am SO confused right now Wait, how Some hold their shields up? I wasn't planning on doing that, and besides, contrary to popular belief dwarves do have good eyesight. Probably To be honest, I don't know the difference, so I just won't look it up when I make my move, therefore I will counter Pikemen, not whatever the swamp ones do Plus, I love metagaming It's more to do with my confusion at your troop formations and positions rather than what the troops are.

No, it's a mix of Wallers and Swamp Pikemen. I'll null any metagaming, I find it annoying, I used to do it and I'm annoyed at myself for doing so, in most RPs it is against the rules and the same should apply here. Ok, I'll let you redo your move.

@all involved
Sorry I haven't posted a reply yet, but I have a lot of work and I have to do more at once due to staying all evening today to post farewell posts. I might do it tonight, but don't hold your breath. Sorry
