Warning: this story contains spoilers for Season 8: Sons of Garmadon.
This is a short little story I whipped up due to something I noticed in Sons of Garmadon. Should be about three parts; nothing huge. Enjoy.
The motorcycle's engines slowly winded down as the two siblings parked them in front of the brown-white building. The cool, humid air wafted by, flowing through the green, sprouting grass in front of the old blacksmith's shop. Kai and Nya headed inside, smiling. Kai greeted, "Hey, it's us! Is now a bad time for a visit?" "Actually, now would be excellent." Maya said, sitting facing the wall, voice showing a hint of weakness. The two ninja entered their parents' workshop. Metal swords and armor hung from props and displays on the chipped, whitewashed walls. Bent metal and uncategorized weapons lay scattered amongst the wooden floor, a warm fire burning and creating dark gray puffs of smoke by the two black, worn-out anvils. "Everything all right?" Nya asked inquisitively, bestowing and expression of minor concern. Maya turned around, revealing something in her lap. There sat a grinning baby, looking at the guests with wondering and curious eyes. A couple strands of chocolate dark brown hair popped from his head. "Whose baby is this? And where's-" Kai suddenly stopped speaking, as the recent development dawned on him. Nya glanced at her brother. "What? What is it?!" Maya nodded, acknowledging her son's recent discovery. "Yup. It's him." Nya stared in disbelief. "Wha-?!" She sputtered. "But how did he?!" "When he was struck by the Reversal Blade, his decreasing age didn't stop." Maya explained. "Over the past couple weeks, he's been getting younger and younger - he became a newborn baby just a few days ago, and now he's rapidly turning back again." Kai crouched over and looked at Ray, who was held tightly in his wife's arms. "Uh, hi, Dad." Kai said awkwardly. "Don't!" His father laughed, waving around his arms wildly.

"'Don't?'" Nya repeated. "Why is that the word he knows? Has he been hearing it a lot?" "Well, you see, he-" Maya began to explain, but Ray escaped her arms, running off. She yelped out of fear of what could happen. The tiny toddler ran at a surprising speed, exciting by an uncontainable energy. He saw a bright, silver sword laying upon the ground, and began to try to pick it up out of interest. "Don't!" Maya gasped, running over to grab him from the dangerous object. Nya noted. "Yeah, I guess this isn't exactly much of a child-friendly environment." "Do you, uh, need some help taking care of him?" Kai asked, glancing at his tired mother, her hair frazzled and untidy, heavy bags under her eyes She held the giggling child tightly to her chest. "No, I've got it." She said, not quite convincingly. "This shan't last too much longer." "Food!" Ray demanded loudly. Maya sighed. Looking out one of the round, oriental-styled windows, she gazed upon the soon-to-be setting sun. "Yeah, I guess it's time." She slowly stood up and walked over to the small shelf of varying edible objects, grabbing a gleaming red apple from it and placing it upon a dish on the countertop. She then proceeded to hit the fruit with a spoon, mashing it into yellow sauce. Once finished, she put the dish in front of the hungry child. She began to spoon the food into his mouth, but Nya interjected. "We can do it!" She proclaimed. "Could you?!" Maya repeated. Before awaiting a response, she said, "Thank you so much." Walking back to one of the small wooden chairs at the other end of the shop, she instructed, "Make sure he eats all of it, or else he gets hungry again in the middle of the night!"

"Okay, Dad, here's some food!" Nya announced, holding up the spoon to him. "Eat up!" Her father glared at the spoon, then shook his head vigorously in defiance. "Why not?" She asked. "Just two minutes ago you said you wanted some!" "No!" He denied, knocking the spoon from her hand, the mush soaring from the utensil and upon Nya's face. Kai let out a quick, roaring laugh at his sister's expense. Nya ignored him, trying to hide her frustration. "Come on, you'll never do it that way." Kai declared. He moved to Nya's previous position, taking a new spoonful for his father. He inched the spoon closer to his dad's mouth until the spoon hit the toddler's unmoving lips. Ray swung back his head and once again yelled "No!" and flung the food to the face of his feeder - only this time, Kai didn't laugh. Applesauce dripping off her brother's chin, Nya released a brief giggle. One long and messy meal later, they had finally gotten their father to consume the food. His eyelids began to droop, and he seemed less energetic. "I think it's time we get him to bed." Maya suggested. The two ninja agreed, allowing their mother's gentle arms to place the infant upon the soft sleeping mat. He shut his eyes and a soft snore gradually came upon his lips. "Y'know, he seems pretty cute when he's asleep." Nya noted. "Yeah." Kai agreed. "You know, we understand it will be hard to take care of him this way. If you want, we can help take care of him - we're close relatives too." Suddenly, a loud, gross noise sounded from the no-longer sleeping baby. Maya crouched down and picked him up. "Yep, that's a full diaper." She confirmed. "On second thought, maybe we should go." Kai considered. "Yeah!" Nya agreed. "As you said, this won't last long! We'll see you later!" As her children hurried out of the shop, she shouted, "This will be you one day! I promise! Just wait until you have children! He and I will be here, laughing at your expense!" As the two siblings sped away on their motorcycles, Nya glanced over at her brother. "Wait," She said, ". . .what about Wu?"
