"You worked at the old park?" Lucas sounds interested, then continues. "Don't worry, you're never too old to hunt a dino down!" he grins. "I think between the two of us, we're pretty adept. I think we should leave the soldiers to help others." He puts the keys in the ignition and revs up the jeep. "I think we should be pretty good to go." Lucas smiles, beckoning to Emilio to hop into the passenger seat.
Emilio laughs. "Never too old to hunt a dino down. I doubt you'll be thinking that in fifty years or so." Emilio unslings his shotgun and jumps into the passenger seat, and waits for the others to prepare. "So, what brought you to this island?"
"What brought me here?" Lucas pauses, then begins. "One of Mr. Lesting's men came to Henderson, Nevada, where most of the people in Paradise fled to. He gave me sufficient information as to what we were doing here. I had a little group from Paradise trying to liberate the city from the pterodactyls. I haven't heard from them in weeks as I couldn't inform them of my whereabouts, as per our arrangement with Craig. I hope they're alright..." Lucas drifts off again, then returns to the conversation. "Hopefully they get those cursed reptiles outta there. This job is great though. I'm doing good work for everyone in the nation, not just Paradise." He smiles. "That's what life's all about. Doing something bigger than yourself." Seeing that many of the group are still preparing, Lucas continues. "Well, that's how I got here. What's your story, Emilio?" he asks.
IC: A man with a basket of radios walks up to him. "Want a radio? They've got rechargeable batteries and all, no strings attached. No costs, no extra fees, nothing. I promise you, this product is absolutely free. And I can guarantee that because I was literally just handed this and told to pass these out." He hands one to Justin. "Enjoy. Your group is on channel 4."
Justin takes the radio. "Thanks! Who's my group?"
Before the guys walks off, he answers. "All the new recruits. Group 4. Good luck."
The radio guy hurriedly tosses Martin and Dustin radios and yells instructions before heading to the gates to open them up. The transport van rumbles to life as eleven NPC soldiers all clamber aboard. The cage truck driver and passenger are flipping through the instruction manual trying to figure out how to start the darn thing, and the three guys in the old Ford are busy tightening down a bunch of weapons, food and ammo they have in the back.
OOC: These are the gates that Dr. Grant is currently talking to one of the guards at.
@animalhelper123, are you hopping in on this mission?

Emilio listens, interested. When Lucas finished speaking, Emilio began. "Well, I guess life was just slow, and I needed more purpose. I've always loved dinosaurs, and seeing them up close was amazing. That and I was probably a bit bored." Emilio grinned. "Now I can work with dinosaurs again. I must admit, your story is way more interesting." Emilio hears the transport van engine rumble to life. "Well, sounds like the mission is about to get started."

"Interesting' Lucas smiles, then also notices the opening gates. "Here we go!" Lucas says as the engine roars and they drive through
