Joy and Temptation went backstage where the director approached both of them.
"I don't know how you two did it without following the script, but you both have captured the audience's attention!" He said with his thick accent. "Never before has a production in this theater generated so much reaction from the audience! Keep it up!" He left to prepare Scene II of Act I.
Joy and Temptation looked at each other and giggled a bit, fascinated by their performances. The next scene didn't require them so they had a small break.
Joy spoke first. "That was quite different from you. You spoke that confession line really well. Great job!"
Temptation blushed, and the scar across his face couldn't hide it.
"Thanks." He said. "So are we actually going to go through with this play?" "I can't see why not, though this is a lot of work just to find some fake beards." Joy replied.
Scene III was about to begin and it featured both of them. In the play's story, it was dawn and Temptation met Joy in the garden to run away together.
"I'm here, my lady." Temptation said Joy came in looking beautiful and elegant. Temptation holds her hands and swings her around.
"I can't wait to live this life with you." Joy says romantically. As they spin around in a waltz, Temptation could only focus on Joy. He couldn't believe that he could feel so alive, so happy, and so joyful when he was with Joy doing this play.
Later, the scene darkened to resemble night time, Joy and Temptation look at the audience as if they were on a romantic date together looking at a night sky. In the audience, Temptation saw people wiping tears, lovely couples fascinated by the character's love, and a couple familiar faces of hooded members of the organization...
Temptation froze for a second and became nervous. What are they doing here? Have they been following us? Just then, Temptation had to speak to continue the story. "Um... Let's.... go... before they find us...." Temptation spoke out loud. "Who would find us?" Joy asked in character. "Them..." Temptation replied, subtly pointing at the organization members in the audience. Joy could see them too, and she became unsure if they were still in character.
