Joy dodges his quick lunge. The hooked nose man keeps moving but he realized he couldn't stop. He was headed right for the oven. He stopped just in time, but because his sword was in front of him, the sword's blade had gone into the oven. He pulled it out to see that his blade was glowing like lava.
"Did you think my sword would be destroyed by the fire?" He snarls.
He swings his sword at her and Joy blocks it at his sword's base where the molten iron was. In a quick second, the hooked-nose man's blade breaks off and all he was holding left was the handle. The blade had fallen on the floor, still red hot.
"You broke my sword!" He shouts at Joy. "Excuse me, you should've known not to use your sword when it's hot and dull!"
The hooked nose man drops his what's left of his sword and throws a few punch at Joy. She evades his fists and decided to put her sword away, already knowing how she would fight him. He throws one more deperation fist at her with his right hand, but she grabs the incoming fist with her left hand. She uses her right hand to reach for his belt and in one motion she lifts him off of the ground.
"What are you doing... no, NO!" He shouts cowardly.
Joy walks out of the blacksmith shop and throws him to the other side of the street, laying right next to the not-so-bearded man with his back on the ground.
Both the bearded man and the hooked-nose man turn their head up to see Joy and Temptation with stern faces. Joy pulls her sword out one more time and points it at them. Meanwhile, a cow passes by behind Temptation.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" The bearded man asks? "Yeah. I know what you're thinking." The hooked nose man replies.
"RUN AWAY!" They both shout as they get up and dash out of the village. Joy and Temptation stayed where they were watching them run.
"Well, we did it!" Temptation says excitedly. "Yes, we did! Thanks for saving me." Joy says. "Umm, there's something I've always wanted to ask."
"What?" "So you're Temptation, aren't you?" She asks. Temptation's heart begins to race and panic. He didn't know how to respond. Oh no, he thought, what will she think of me now?
(why did I take so long to respond to this. . . ? XP)
TAKE THAT YA COWARDS!! YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT, RUN! BEFORE THE COWS GETCHA!
Oh man, Temmy, you're in a tight spot. What are you gonna say, are you gonna tell the truth, she's onto you, what are you gonna--? oh wait it's my turn.
Yup. Nothing beats a more intimidating team of fighters like a girl with a shortsword, a guy with poisoned cookies, and a cow that can ram its head hard at the simple command of "moo".

(That's alright. )
Lol. For those guys running away from a cow, I guess they really were "cow"ards.
I'll be looking forward to that part of the story. It kind of feels like we're reaching the end of this arc of the story.

AYYYYY *laughs IRL* XD
We've still gotta do something about Temmy's crazy uncle, though, right? And those people poisoned by cookies.
"Uhh. . ." Temptation gulps. "I. . ." He scans the village street. Pushcarts, stalls, and wagons were overturned by the stampede of panicking bovines, spilling fruits, vegetables, and leftover sandwiches everywhere on the cobblestones. Only a few cows are left running about the street, with some slowing. People are still running away, while others are hopping clumsily about trying to catch the straying cows. A few more are trying to get their skittish horses under control. Temptation thinks fast. "The town guards will probably be here any minute. I can't be here when they do." "But--" "We need to go. Come on!" Temptation snatches Joy's hand and begins running down an alley. Joy protests indignantly. "But Luke-- wait, stop! Where are we going?! Luke!" They keep running, with him half-dragging her along. They reach the outskirts of town and duck into the surrounding forest, skirting tall pines trees and thorny bushes. All the while Joy is sputtering and demanding for an explanation, confused and frustrated by her companion's evasion. She grips her sword clumsily now, not having time to stop and sheathe it. Despite her loud questions and exclamations, Temptation doesn't answer. His heart is hammering too hard, he's too confused -- they just have to get away, get away in case more of those men come, get away before-- "Luke!" Joy finally wrenches her hand from his. Temptation stumbles to an awkward stop and whirls around to face her. Her chest is heaving for breath. Her light-colored hair is slightly tangly and wild. She stares at him, and defiance makes her pretty features harden. "I'm not going another step," She says gently, but firmly. "Until you answer my question." Her voice rings strangely in the small forest glade they find themselves standing in. After the outrageous hubbub and confusion of the town square, it is slightly disconcerting for them to find themselves in such a quiet place. This quietness is lengthened awkwardly by Temptation's hesitation. He feels sick -- sick to his stomach, and his heart is still pounding. ". . . W-who told you I was Temptation?" She holds his gaze. "Just answer the question. Please."
{JAMMERS! Possible ToD Spoilers} Yeah, not to mention meeting those people Joy mentioned earlier -- Greed and Envy. We should get to the part where the protagonists officially go after the antagonists soon. Say, would we want to introduce a new character anytime soon?

The suspense in this segment is keeping me on the edge of my seat. Definitely looking forward to continuing this climax.

Thank you. Definitely looking forward to you continuing the climax, too.
