I feel like I just asked on a different topic which state you live in again, so I'm gonna hold off asking this yet again, and hope I find that post somewhere before this gets too awkward...
You haven't. But I have given you multiple hints. Speaking of which, loosely, this store you work at. The name of it doesn't happen to start with an S does it?
I'm going to admit, even writing that part of the story broke my own heart. I believe I thought of Joy from the very beginning, so smashing her in this segment was quite terrifying.

Everyone in the crowd turns around with a shock in their face. A man in the crowd shouts, "Temptation strikes again! Run for your lives!"
Everyone panics and runs in a frenzy. Temptation holds his poisoned Joy in his arms. No one comes to respond. It felt like everything was in slow motion. Temptation could only see Joy becoming gray and the blurred lines of people running. Then something catches his eye, another hooded figure, very similar to the man who passed out the poisoned cookies, just about to leave the plaza.
Temptation puts Joy down and runs after the hooded figure. He was fast, but Temptation was faster, and upon reaching him, he tackled him to the ground and screamed into his face, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?"
Alas, Temptation was just holding his clothes, and the body inside was just a magic trick. Temptation looks inside the clothes and finds a note,
"You'll never find me, Temptation. I will always be invisible to you.
My men have the antidote to save your precious Joy, and we will save her because we promised her parents she would remain alive, but first you must take her back to the inn, leave her in bed, and return to the forest. See her again and she disappears from your life forever. You may be Temptation, the spirit of desire, but when you work for us, your own desires mean nothing. Return immediately. We are always watching.

Temptation decided to follow the note. He went back to the plaza, picked up Joy with his arms and carried her back. The people around them paid no attention. Temptation returned to the inn and laid Joy on the bed. Before Temptation left the room, he realized his arm was still wrapped in the cloth from Joy after they fought Jerry. He unwrapped the cloth exposing the bruise on his arm.
"Thank you, Joy." He says to her as he tucks the cloth into one of her pockets. "Thank you for giving me a chance. I promise I'll return the favor in some way."
Temptation hugs her one last time before heading out. He opens the door to leave and another cloaked man holding a bottle comes in and says, "I have the antidote. She will be fine in the morning." Temptation nods, leaves the inn, and returns to the forest.
Congrats, Zach. You officially hurt my heart. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be trying to pick up the broken pieces of the said heart while planning the next installment.
