"Let's get out of here!" Temptation shouted. Temptation and Joy bolted for the exit as fast as they could. They were just about to leave when a burning beam had suddenly fallen and blocked the exit.
"We can't get out this way. We have to find another exit!" Joy said as they bolted for another exit, only to realize that there wasn't really a way out.
"We're trapped!" Temptation said, covering his mouth and nose.
Suddenly, rising from a pile of debris, a tall and intimidating Lord Fear rose out of the rubble. "I'm not done with you two yet.." He said.

A large crash could be heard from all over the building, and even people outside. The podium where the priest at attempted to make the vows had disintegrated, and the first row of seats began to catch on fire. The explosion only lasted for a few seconds, but it felt like few minutes as some people ran all over the place and all chaos broke loose.
Surrounding the explosion were people running away from the explosion. Some people were hurt from the flying debris, but everyone tried to leave as fast as they could.
Temptation lifted himself from the floor, a little dizzy, but he quickly regained his consciousness. He suddenly realized that the entire building was on fire. The explosion had blasted debris everywhere and the candles had fallen and lit the rest of the building. Fire began to rise towards the ceiling.
He dusted himself off really quickly and looked down towards his feet and saw Joy just lying down with her eyes closed, her white wedding dress now stained with black dirt marks. Temptation reached down to wake up Joy.
"Joy, wake up, quickly." Temptation asked with a worried look, hoping he protected Joy well.
A few seconds later her eyes blinked and she gained consciousness. She looked at Temptation with just a slight smile. Temptation offered his hand to help her up and she grabbed it and pulled herself up. She dusted herself off and tried to get the little bits of debris unstuck from her dress.
"Well, that went a little too well, I think." Joy said as she began to realize the building was on fire.
Joy and Temptation looked around, the church was nearly empty except beginning to engulf in flames.

Saturated cereal boxes! Yes, yes and yes!
Lol. Looks like you're quite excited about this twist.
Of course I have the Avengers kazoo theme stuck in my head ._.
Temptation's mouth went dry. He stepped in front of Joy, readjusting his grip on his sword. "Just give up already," he said over the crackle of flames. "There's no point in it anymore. You're--" Lord Fear lunged, unsheathing the sleek longsword from the scabbard on his belt. Caught off guard, Temptation only stumbled back just in time to keep from having his head removed; the blade of his uncle's sword nipped across his shoulder and throat. Temptation barely felt it through the adrenaline. "You blasted dog!"Fear roared, kicking aside fallen beams and toppled pews. He gave little notice to the chunks of fallen stone from the roof as he stalked toward Temptation. "You've ruined everything! My plan! My home! My army! My slaves! Even my son's wedding!" He kicked a chunk of stone aside. "How dare you! I took you in! After everything I've done for you!" "And everything you've done to me!" Temptation snapped back. He yanked the hood off his head, letting the firelight fall upon the jagged scar ripped across his face. "You're not the saint you think you are, Uncle." Fear's only reply was a coarse scream of pure rage. He threw himself at Temptation, who parried his blows rapidly. Fear drove him over the uneven piles of shattered stone and flaming curtains, swords clanging against one another. Joy, much to her humiliation, struggled to get to her feet through the many frilly skirts of her dirt-stained wedding gown. Heart hammering with fear for Temptation, she scrabbled pitifully on the floor for a few moments before her gaze landed upon a fallen dagger left by one of the deserters. She snatched it and hacked at the dress; within a minute, she had kicked the largest skirts away. "Dumb dress," she muttered, staggering to her feet. She grabbed a rock and stood up. "Hey!" She chucked it at Fear. "Leave him alone!" The rock bounced off of the older man's shoulder, but he paid it no heed. "Get out of here, Joy!" Temptation cried. "Yes, Joy..." a new voice crowed. "Run while you can." Envy appeared slowly like a ghost from the rubble--a long, sleek rapier in hand. She grinned mirthlessly.

This might be my new favorite chapter; it's epic! Great job, Tigress!

Sorry for the late update to the story! It's been a hectic time these past few days with school and other things going on. Luckily at the moment I'm lucky to not have homework, so I can finally put something in!
Envy slowly stepped towards Joy, while Joy took a few steps back. Luckily with her dress shortened, she could actually see where she was stepping, avoiding the rubble that's on fire. She looked around herself for something to fight Envy's rapier. The dagger she found earlier wouldn't do. She turned and found a tall three-pronged candlestick stand. She grabbed it and pointed it at Envy like a pitchfork with sticky candles.
"You're lucky to have gotten a wedding, Joy." Envy cried out. "Why would you miss your chance at marriage?"
"Cause your brother is nothing but a spineless chicken with no brain." Joy shouted as she thrusted her pitchfork-candlestick-stand at Envy, who blocked it with her rapier.
Envy slashed her rapier at Joy, who parried and blocked all her moves. As Joy swung her pitchfork-candlestick-stand around, the sticky candles caught onto some more bits of rubble from the air and the floor, making it more flammable. When Joy swung it around, the fire trailed behind her moves, and the longer it trailed, the more Envy stepped back.
Meanwhile, towards the center of the aisle, Temptation and Lord Fear continued fighting with their swords. Temptation was starting to grow tired, but he kept on with all of his might. Lord Fear swung one huge strike with his sword, but Temptation struck back, and Lord Fear's sword flew from his hands. Temptation had finally caught him off guard and kicked him with his foot. Lord Fear fell back a few feet, and lay in the rubble face down.
Temptation took a couple seconds to catch his breath, then slowly went to grab Lord Fear's sword and approach Lord Fear. He seemed to lay there unconscious, but Temptation was cautious in case he had any tricks.
"I'm not afraid of you, Uncle. I have your sword, and now's the time for you to surrender." Temptation said. He wondered if he had finally won. He turned Lord Fear's body over, but suddenly stepped back. He looked at Lord Fear's mouth, and it was full as if he had eaten something. Then he looked at Lord Fear's hands, and he held cookie with a bite out of it.
"Oh no, he's taken a bite of the Maximus Tentaculous cookies! I thought I destroyed them all!" Temptation cried out.

He wouldn't! Actually never mind he would... WHAT ARE THEY GONNA DO ABOUT THAT!?!
