We're not actually moving them in the way I think you're implying. We are doing two different things:
1. Creating fresh new empty forums, so that users can start the same topics that exist on the original MBs and continue their conversations from where they left off 2. Creating a read-only archive so that you can go back and look at your old posts for reference.

Also, to the moderator/admin who made this, if it turns into an archive I have found a free site that offers plenty of customisability (like not being able to edit already approved posted if disabled:P) and looks a little fresher from the start. From what I have seen here you cannot make subforums (I may be wrong:P) and on this site you can. It is called phpbb forums and I have been working on a new place for the LotR RP there if needed.

Also, can you increase the max length of usernames? My old one doesn't fit:P

I've used both forums and user-side I do prefer ProBoards. We do have subforums. XD
gen1rp.boards.net is where the BIONICLE Roleplay went after they closed it, and you'll find a few LoTR RPers there, too.
Sorry about the name lengths, can't fix that.
