I read Brotherband too! These books are definitely favorites on my list. I don't care what age it's intended for (or gender, for that matter); if it's a good story that I enjoy, I'm reading it.
You read them first! HOW COULD YOU? I was genuinely really impressed by these, it's really hard to find books that good at the library nowadays. They were actually really CONparable in quality and CONtent to the Redwall series!
I was reading Ranger's Apprentice first and while I was waiting for a new book to come in, I picked up the Brotherband Chronicles. Technically, I read BC second. It really is. John Flanagan is one of the few remaining good writers we have in this generation. Wait-- there's more than one Redwall?? 0.0

In that case, you're not an entirely lost cause. That is very true, he needs to write faster though. There's just about 19 of them or so...

How kind. Hey, being a writer isn't easy. HOW WAS I NOT AWARE OF THIS? Are we talking about Redwall, as in the one with the mouse Matthias and the ugly rat Cluny and that sword and stuff?

I try to be. OH YES IT IS. My library used to have almost all of them, before they got rid of them for shelf space. Yes, Cluny the Scourge, and Martin the Warrior and Matthias. Read "Mossflower" at least, it's Martin's story. Or at least part of it.

That's all we can do, really, try. OH NO IT'S NOT NOT A GOOD ONE, ANYWAY Jeez-louise. . . how many are there? I'll try to remember to look for them in the library, but ours is so small and has a rather scanty collection of classic books.

We could also succeed occasionally. JUST TAKES A LITTLE TIME, DEDICATION, HOURS OBSESSING OVER STORY PLOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF TYPING, AND... Google to the rescue: 21. And all just as thick as the first one.
