Yes I strongly believe that it is large part choice. Long run feelings result out of two people making that mutual choice. I suppose so yes but that feeling is somewhat common but it always always fades.

And I think this may have just refined my best theory: I've been feeling angry and disdainful in recent weeks, with much of it directed at myself, in turn making me not feel like myself in a way. I think the memories have served to make me feel better, and a little more like me. And it's worked. :J Something I'm very thankful for.
