(I love how I'm listening to loud music from my earbuds while replying to this. XD) Hmm. Whatever the case may be, maybe I should consider requesting large headphones for my birthday this year. I'm glad you think so. Ha, well, at this point I think I'd prefer having no dreams at all rather than going to bed every night with the faint fear of a nasty nightmare.
You're already doing just that. ÓwÒ I'm sure the same goes for you.
Oh, wow. You must have been desperate for a way to cool off. That it is. It's nearly impossible to firmly adjust to it before it changes again. Oh, good for you. Flies are just. . . spawn of the devil in the form of constant, seemingly-innocent annoyance.
A German summer. . . Well, it's hot, that's for sure. I've mentioned before that we don't have any air conditioning in the houses--unlike in the US--so the house can get unbelievably stuffy and we're reduced to leaving windows open to allow cool air in during the early mornings and late evenings. Flies are the dominant species during these months, and their sole objective is to get into any source of sweet or meaty food that's left sitting out and to buzz circles around our faces tauntingly. The Fly Hunter Squad--consisting of me, my sister, and my dad--are called up to take down those little suckers with anything we've got, or even our bare hands. The rest of it is pretty lovely, though. The land is lush with greenery, and during some months the farmers are hard at work in their fields. The animals are filled with life and energy during the warm weeks and sluggish and lazy during the hotter ones. The locals often get together for their May celebrations or-- um-- soda pop festivals, and many people visit the local lake to swim, play, and have picnics. If we lived in a larger place we'd probably have tourists flocking in every summer, but our village is so small and secluded that to hear an English-speaking voice among the crowd is cause for surprise. Summer here is a good time to recover from the school year and to explore and have fun. Wow, I said a lot. Now my turn: what are NZ summers like?
(Oh dear XD ) Only if you want to upgrade I guess, but there're some pretty nice headphones out there with sweet bass. I agree, best to play it safe.
:3 Well, I hope so, even though I don't feel like I am.. Maybe... >.>
It's probably just my intolerance to heat. Ugh, yeah. Yes. XD
Ooh, nasty, especially if you have insulation. Oh wow. XD Do you keep a smash count? Man, that reminds me when we were in our old house; a flies paradise where you could smash up to 50 flies in a Summer's day. That sounds lovely. Kinda sounds like Summer over here, apart from a few differences. Heh, "soda pop festival", nice. ;P
I'll try muster up some local knowledge from my secluded life.. Mm, they're beautiful in terms of nature as it's prime holiday time for trampers and campers, and also beach-goers which you can clearly see on any one that isn't too tucked away. Family and friends over for barbecues, jandal weather and beautiful pohutukawas in bloom also come to mind when it comes to a kiwi summer.
(Imma rebel. >:3 ) Cool.
Really? Why on earth not? ó.o
That'll help.
Yup. xD If we've tried, we've lost count. It doesn't help that sometimes they come back to life when you think they're dead. Oh gosh. Yup, sounds like our house. It is lovely. I'm going to miss it. ^.^ Germans do love their "soda pop". UwU
That all sounds beautiful. *looks up pohutukawas* My goodness, what gorgeous trees! OwO Does your family like to take trips to the beach together?
I don't know, but right now it's mint chip ice cream.
Yummy, ice cream's the best. Oh also, I saw Mary Poppins Returns last night, it's a fun movie.
Yup! I thought it was wonderful! I was grinning throughout the whole movie. Especially with Lin-Manuel's character, and the balloon scene at the end...
xD I've been in your shoes all too many times. I used to be twice, if not three times, as sassy and mull-headed as I am today. Looking back, I feel a little bad for my parents.
(You're fine. ^.^) We're returning to live in the USA for the first time in six years. Almost everyone in the family is pretty excited about it. Taekwondo is a martial art that specializes in big-time jumping, kicking, and spinning--hey, that sounds like the Weekend Whip! xD It's incredible to watch and exciting to think about learning how to do myself. :3 No, you don't!
O.O *enraged shriek* Are all my friends planning to have the power to reject my posts and wield the infamous ban hammer?? (Kidding ) That's great! Why do you want to become a mod? :3
{JAMMERS! -Neko- ONLY!} I'm here whenever you want to talk, my friend. ^,^ Ahh, OK. It's awesome that he's supportive of your secret and willing to keep it. Good brother. What skills and techniques have you been learning?
xD I see. Honestly its probably the other way around for me.
(Ok. :3) Oh cool! I can imagine. Have you lived anywhere aside from Germany and the USA? Okay, sounds interesting. Oh, lol, it does! I hope not but...
*evil cackle* Yes! Why? Who else wants to become a mod? Thanks! Why? Oh, y'know, it's just that power-hungry, I'm-gonna-take-over-the-world side of me talking. *shrugs* A mix of reasons. I'd have the time, I'd be able to help the people here, and mostly, I'd be helping this community stay alive. If I can eventually give back to this place and help everyone, why not?
{JAMMERS! -Tigress- ONLY!} I'll remember that. :3 Yeah, he is, even if he drives me nuts sometimes. Well, I'm focusing (for simplicity and because of what's easiest for me) mostly kung fu and wing chun, a little bit of other stuff I read about and seen thrown into the mix. Since most of the more basic moves I've practiced quite a bit, I've been working on different combinations lately. I've also been doing more research on it as much as I can then I used. I don't know the names of pretty much all the different stuff I practice, however, since I'm too lazy to memorize them in what I read and any videos I've watched were muted. But yeah, combinations of moves as well as (although this I should have done awhile ago) the hand-shape-motion-thingies, like tiger and snake and stuff.
Gotcha.
We did spend three years living in Japan when I was 6-8 years old. That was an experience.
Essa and ninjagofanmam. I knew Zach and Rome before they were mods, so it's like all my friends are being picked off one by one. xD O.O Those are good reasons. I'm sure the staff team would be happy to have you join them.
{JAMMERS! -Neko- ONLY!} Brothers will do that. Wow. . . that sounds amazing. I want to look up these fighting styles and see what you've been learning, since I'm a rather visual person. Do you have any favorite moves?
