We're are the proverbially blind leading the blind here. All our master lore…..ers, left with the RP. So with no Kobalters we pretty much have the books and internet to rely on. XD
It is very workable. I think some of the main elements will remain with only a few revamping/tweaks. At least that's what I'm seeing the feedback as so far.
Well, I guess Lols is our loremaster now, seeing as he knows so much.
OK.
Mmm, I guess. Though I'm going to re-read the Silmarillon sometime. That might help.
I was also thinking (dangerous I know, but I'm alone and bored on the weekends ) should we write in ye olde english of some sort? Would it make it more Tolkien-esque? Also I'm probably going to attempt to compile a rough draft outline, then ya'll can pick it apart and change stuff. (I'm assuming that the rest of you use outlines and it will clarify the plot sequence) And I'll also make a character list with who is in charge of each one, as soon as I get them all. i.e. Tauriel: Essa Val: Essa Angruin: Essa That one I never got the name for that you mentioned on the chat room: Loli ect ect ect.
And Finally! We need more stuff in here. I just realized that I have been hogging the only couch. So I'll go out and get some chairs and tables and fireplaces and things. Be back in a bit.

we could try to write somewhat in the style of tolkien.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.

Ooooo we need a cool font…..but it wont let me use any other then the five or so it already has. D: I agree though.
so we're doing a fourth age story with a mix of OCs and tolkien characters. Do we have anything else established?
Yes. I have my OC character's posted and the others should be whenever they can, if you have any (I should hope you have at least one as we will be writing from your characters POV most of the story) I would suggest you put them up, then later I will create a master list of what characters are in the story and who has each on. There has also been a plot line being tossed around for a while and since I have time on my hands I'm going to make a draft of the surrent outline. Everything is still in the adjusting age though. I think alongside the plot, we have definitely decided that we want to include, oliphaunts, balrogs, I think seeing stones, and lots and LOTS of magic!!!! Make sense?
I. Melkor gains control of the Nazgul thanks to a new loyal servant A. this loyal servent person awakens when Sauron falls but it takes till now to gather and create evil armies B. the evil army spreads poison through the land while the Nazgul (and or the loyal servent of Melkor (THAT NEEDS A NAME!!)) spread evil magic that emulates a poison in the elves and also causes them to age normally.
II. The Blue Wizards A. one of them is corrupted 1. he convinces the other that the Spellbook of Aganduar, which is super powerful, should remain in "good hands" i.e his 2. backed up by disturbing dreams they both had/have(?) B. he actually takes the Book for personal gain 1. disarming the other maiar is made easy 2. he is comsumed with the power
III. Blue wizard has something that is the catalyst to turn him good (works as a great side plot to decoy the reader into thinking he is the ancient evil thingamy) A. so in attempting to redeem himself he leads part of the heroes to seek the help of an easterdragon (Not The Easterdragon ;p) B. The other Blue Wizard leads the other part of the group on a rescue mission 1. (perhaps part way there they receive a message about the elves being attacked and have a quandery then send for the Rohirrim?)
IV. Heroes catch up to the baddies A. Baddie has enchanted gaurds that are hard foes 1. A fierce battle ensues 2. heroes barely win B. Baddie escapes with half of his army C. some heroes are badly injured
V. Meanwhile A. the other guys are with the easterdragon 1. one brave hero is gifted with a tooth from the skeleton from a venomous wyrm that they had worked as a team to defeat as a test 2. venom has no known cure being the most lethal substance known B. in a final attempt to destroy the otherwise indestructible Book, the afor mentioned brave hero drives the tooth into it.
Okay. Feel free to pick apart as outlines are most definitely NOT my forte. XD There are some gaps I feel should be sewn up, fluffing around the bones of this outline. It's not as long as I would like yet as it's not final or finished but it's an excellent start I think. There are some elements not here yet.

Yeah. So tolkien, but a lego message board story.

the last part sounds too much like harry potter and the chamber of secrets.
