So you may have noticed the new poll above. Given the revival of the 3rd Age RP and the lack of activity here, it may be time to put this Roleplay on the shelf, at least for now. We'll keep this poll open for maybe a week, although I'll leave the exact length to the discretion of Shamrock/MLB.
Also, if it is decided to continue, please note that you'll have to get a new Rep. Once again, I'll leave the details of figuring that out to Shamrock and MLB, since I won't be around for it.
Namarie mellyn!
Eddie it is I, Coffeyc683 returned to the frontlines of Star Wars RP, what say you about returning to join the rebels like you once did we need to return the Message Boards back to their former glory of the Bronze Age of the RP.
Holy guacamole, this was unexpected. Coffey, it's good to see you finally found your way here.
Thanks for the offer, but I must decline. As you just noted, the last hurrahs of the old SW RP were merely it's Bronze Age. The gold and silver had long since faded. A bunch of brilliant people devised an amazing, in-depth RP, which was exactly that for a while. But those people kept leaving, and slowly the RP deteriorated. Rarely were those who joined able to replicate the understanding which the founders and early members had of both SW and of the RP. By the time I joined, the RP consisted of a few experienced members (yourself included) who pretty much ran the show, and a bunch of newer people with a little knowledge and not nearly the same level of understanding. Of the former group, you were (are) the last remaining member. So you pretty much ruled everything by the time it was done with.
Anyways, what I'm saying is that the old SW RP isn't coming back. Maybe in some dumbed-down, modified form, which might be cool, but it's not coming back. That's my take at least.
Either way, I personally do not intend to rejoin it. Don't get me wrong, it was loads of fun. But it was also a lot of stress, wasted time, and frustration. Joining it in the first place is something that, with hindsight, I shouldn't have done. Moreover, I'm hardly active on here anyways. College is busy. I get on here once in a while, but to be an active RPer on here again may very well never happen.
So that's my rambling answer. Don't take it too seriously, I've spent way too much time reflecting on what was and what could have been with that RP. I wish you the best in your endeavors there, and may the force be with you.
The day of prosperity makes one forget adversity; The day of adversity makes one forget prosperity.

The RPs have changed....
I feel in in the posts...
I feel it in the forums...
I smell it in the likes...
Much that once was, is lost, for none now are active, who remember it...
Though I supposed Grand Admiral Trebor Jadak could be persuaded to come out of retirement, though it would probably just lead to the same heartbreak that always seems to happen with roleplays. But, perhaps it would be worth it.

You know, I'm probably the only one who will actually notice this was posted. you do realize that, right?

I think it adds to the affect. But, you never know.
