My first two modern pop songs that really got me into the genre (because I had listened to and liked so many others but never got into pop too much) were Capital Cities’ “Safe and Sound” and OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars.”
Were those out at the same time? I know 'em both, I just have no clue how old either of them is.
Yeah, they were both released in 2013.

Yeah, they were both released in 2013.
Before my pop music time. I was still jamming to Christian tracks, Disney and old rock at that point.
