There was another topic like this called Music Madness, but it may have died. Anyway, I said it there and I'll say it here -
John Williams is the MAN!!!!!!!!!
(I'm currently listening to "Visitor in San Diego" from The Lost World: Jurassic Park soundtrack.)
Also, can't forget -
Howard Shore is the OTHER MAN!!!!!!!!!
Like, seriously, he's pretty much the absolute best. The LotR trilogy has the single greatest musical score ever, and yes, that's counting Star Wars (sorry John ).
Did John Williams compose the Justice League soundtrack or was it someone else?
That was good ol' Danny Elfman, who also composed the score to the 1989 Tim Burton Batman film with that super rad theme they used on the LEGO games.

Died long ago.
I have a dedicated playlist for the SW OT soundtrack.
I like the LotR score, even though I’ve not seen the movies. Or read the books.
Okay.
Cool, I have one for the whole saga soundtrack.
You should totally watch the movies at least. The books aren't for everyone since they're kinda slow-paced and very detailed, but The Hobbit is pretty tame. What kind of books do you generally like to read?

That was Danny Elfman. John Williams literally only does Star Wars + Spielberg.
Not literally only. He's also done Harry Potter and Home Alone, plus plenty of smaller projects and he's written several pieces for the Olympics and USA.
Anyone like Hans Zimmer? He removed melody from his soundtracks long ago, but shush.
"Is that the one with the soldiers on the beach while Hans Zimmer falls asleep on an organ?" -HISHE Luke Skywalker on Dunkirk
I haven't listened to much of his work, honestly. I do like Kung Fu Panda and Lion King but I can only remember one instrumental piece out of both of those. You know that music that plays while Simba runs back to Pride Rock from his Hakuna Matata paradise land? That was pretty cool, but overall the instrumental score isn't super memorable.
Although personally I really enjoy melodies in movie soundtracks. I love it when everything has its own little leitmotif. That's why I love Williams and Shore so much, they (especially the latter in LotR) are masters of that technique. I don't get why anyone would prefer a bunch of organ chords over something as vibrant and vivid as that.
Oh right. Danny Elfman composed the Batman (1989) score I believe which is used in the LEGO Batman games)
That is correct. My first exposure to that score.
Same, I love it so much. I just recently saw that movie for the first time and I was grinning like an idiot when he's flying the Batwing over Gotham to get to Joker's parade and that theme is blaring.
