The surface is a basic city, lots of tall buildings and stuff. Its ground is several yards thick. The CORE is the original planet, with one giant ocean. Buildings on stilts sit about 5 feet above the water. A plasma shield is inbetween them, and it will probably disintegrate anything that falls through the surface.
