We also read when your defense guns start firing off the ground. The fleet positions itself outside your atmosphere just out of range of your defense canons.
A metal barrier begins to be built outside your planet. 10% complete. Canons are built into the walls. Ships patrol the outside and the inside of the building looking, waiting for an attack.

I remember that they definitely were banned ages ago--BP4J tried using them to defend Gixxl, and they got voted down (which is a shame, because I thought those things were kinda genius )

New ships: Negates: Negates are ships that hold thin laser emitters on the sides of the ship. It then fires beams of lasers at its target continually attempting to saw it into pieces and or just destroy it some how. It also has bottom long distance canons.
