The Kalypsian Empire contacts the Alterra corporation and arranges the purchase of shields, defense systems, and a fleet of ships for Temmie village. All expenses paid so the temmies's pay nothing.
It seems that the heated arguments are still going on. Please stay civil and kind or this topic will be temporarily locked based on the actions of only a few people. Remember- the point of this RP is to have fun!

Galaxy war: Is primary about war, gets atleast two warnings of being locked because of arguments.
Chima fanon roleplay: Gets a 48 hours lock for referencing real world weapons witout warning.

There's a big difference between in-character battles and out of character arguments. Heated arguments are never acceptable here.
As a matter of fact, the canon specifically states that Jedi are helpless to block projectiles (a frequent problem when they run into Transdoshan slavers, who use projectile weapons); their lightsabers can only stop blasters.
OOC: The Executor is measuresd in kilometers. Mine is measure in AU. IC: *The Ymir drops out of warp directly in front of the Star Destroyer. Scans estimate that is upwards of 21 billion kilometers in diameter, or roughly 1.1 billion times the length of the Executor. It begins firing on the enemy ship, doing incalculable damage.*
OOC: And how exactly were you able to manufacture this? Where? How is this allowed?
IC: *The Destroyer fires millions of turbolasers and launches immeasurable amounts of TIE Fighters to attack the bridge of the vessel, though it takes severe damage.*
First of all, lose the attitude--it's not becoming, nor is it suitable for these message boards; we come here to have fun, not to deal with this.
Now then, to answer your question: As per Wookiepedia, the definitive source for anything Star Wars, in Legends or Canon, a ray shield is one of three types of deflector shield, and while it is only described as "energy fields," the fact that they almost exclusively "deflected or scattered energy (although sometimes they were not powerful enough to fully negate enemy fire)," while also "imparting a deadly electric shock," this would indicate some kind of electromagnetic field instead of a laser (which is a coherent beam of light amplified synthetically through radiation--laser does stand for "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation").
While it would definitely be unwise to try to touch it directly (given what they do to Clones who get too close numerous times throughout The Clone Wars series, the fact that Particle Shields (deal with high-velocity and proton impacts) and Concussion Shields (repelling space debris and other large objects) exist as separate types of shielding indicates that you'll need a little bit more strategy than just "ray shields beat everything"--after all the Death Star reactor shaft was ray-shielded, and proton torpedoes got through just fine.
I find your lack of ability to detect sarcasm disturbing. Take a hit.
So you pointed out the electric shock then ignored the fact that maybe you should adjust your tactics. Also, the reactor shaft was not shielded. It is literally one of the most famous reasons why the Death Star was destroyed.
Why not follow what you just said, you have been outnummbered, outflanked, outsmarted, and bested. Take the hits.
Given the strategy the Empire was using to navigate the field, it is likely the Executor ever went far into the field at all; also, we never actually see how long it takes for it to leave the field, so all we can do is guess, meaning that this isn't exactly a reliable piece of evidence.
And what threats to attack you? I haven't done anything to anyone at all yet, I've only ever begun diplomatic relations with the first guy to enter my system. My army isn't even complete yet, while the Reality Gun is still under construction. Also, anyone can complain about using OOC knowledge, because that's unacceptable in any roleplay, whether online, by post, or in-person. Even if someone else has allegedly used OOC information themselves, that doesn't make it okay for someone else to do.
Considering not very long after Vader made his “clear transmission” it is quite certain that it was quick.
It is very clear that if you could you would be steamrolling my fleet. Not that that would happen.
Movies cut time, in say for example T: TDW Thor and Jane get into the vehicle, and it cuts. Did they just magically appear at the destination?
Considering that all you have done is question moves instead of simply avoiding them I don’t think you can talk.
Considering that all I have done is question moves instead of (unfairly)avoiding them, you don`t think I can talk? Is that some sort of insult, or are you calling me mute.
Also, I'm done. You have done nothing but be a jerk to everyone you talk to, brag about your own intelligence when literally everything you have ever said in here is demonstrably wrong, and don't seem to be interested in anything but power-tripping and arguing. If you don't want to actually get into a story and stop being so rude to every last one of us, kindly leave the roleplay and bother someone else. But I'm done; I hereby null any action you try to take against me, and am going to generally ignore every post except an apology from you from now on.
I don’t think I’ve ever laughed harder when I saw a post. I don’t even know how this got approved.
I have not been a jerk. If anything, you have and are right now. I have not “bragged about my own intelligence” as you put it, and if I have in some way that I failed to notice, which I haven’t, I am sorry. But I haven’t.
All I am interested is RPing, but I am stopped by people who have no hesitation to add science fact to science fiction. If Star Wars was factually accurate, then it would take years for anything to happen. That’s why they call it science fiction.
I have not insulted anybody or anything, I have attempted to Roleplay. That is all. I will not leave because I have no reason to.
Real mature. Look kid, I’ve suffered through argument after argument over in the SHRP. I have been ganged up on, insulted, the like. But did I throw a tantrum and ignore all posts except apologies? No. I stayed because I have integrity. I dealt with it because life is unfair. Life is a jerk. Just like you think I am. Show your integrity and prove that you are above this. Then you will have earned my respect, not that you want it.
And you cannot null my moves because you are annoyed with someone.
I will not apologise as I have nothing to apologise for.
I don’t care if you don’t read this, but it needed to be said.
Then perhaps the people who constantly insulted you should be to blame. You on the other hand are making wild claims that can not be taken seriously IMO.
To my knowledge, there aren't really any capital ships in any fiction that are constructed on planets--that's usually done in orbital shipyards (most capital ships can't even safely enter an atmosphere, let alone take off again, since that isn't their purpose).
PS: I think that at this point the Ymir is less of a ship in any conventional sense, and more of a mobile Dyson Sphere/Dyson Shell.
Still, I’m going to assume that some of the planets in this RP are in the same star system, yes? This would likely make it difficult to manuver this ship without running into other planets. 1 AU is bigger than any planets known, so this could simply swallow any of the planets. Good point about the vacuum.
Are you forgetting he once compared this and a planet to a bug on a windshield?
