You said yourself that the planet is unclaimed; a ship guarding it implies a claim. Also, a ship can only guard one side of a planet, so even if you did bizarrely have a super stardestroyer guarding an empty planet you didn't own, the overwhelming majority of the planet is easy to land on without opposition.
I meant on the surface. It has been there for a very long time. And you clearly don’t see how fast they move.
{JAMMERS! -Ciar- ONLY!} Alright, this could go on forever, or we could finish this. Meet me in neutral space with nothing but your flagship and its escort fighters. I will bring MY flagship with only escort fighters and we will battle to the death. If I win, I get your homeworld and you have to surrender yourself to GS custody. If you win, you get my entire empire. Any attempts at cheating will result in the immediate disqualification of the guilty party. Agreed?
I couldn't think of w decent sig, so here's a pig: 🐷
Was there a build chain for these weapons that would decimate not only ciar’s fleet but your fleet and the Temmies altogether? (My fleet too but that’s not important.)
After a brief analysis of the air coming from the shuttle, the airlocks open, and reveal a plastic and metal clad industrial junction. Three doors are present. Two of them, leading to the right and left, are closed. The third is open, and leads to a large room, bathed by dim yellow lights, clad in wood and cream wallpaper. Several paintings hang on its walls, sofas and tables are strewn around, and a chandelier hangs from the wall.
In the middle stand about thirty Humans in a crescent surrounding the entrance. Some are wearing flight suits, others are in casual sweaters and cargo pants, bust most are wearing uniforms reminiscent of the early 20th century designs. There is a long and awkward silence as they stare at the diplomats.
"Hello..." utters on of the men in a hesitant voice, breaking the quiet.
*The team is also human, albeit ranging for 4-5 feet tall, fairly stocky, and with large, piercing eyes; they are wearing uniform space suits resembling Elon Musk's prototype suits irl. Upon seeing the humans waiting for them, they awkwardly glance at each other, then take off their helmets--one of them is laughing in relief*
"Well, this sure is going to be easier than we thought! The first people we meet after all this time are more humans! Are you all from Earth, or are you colonists like us?"
"We wish we were from the homeland..." answers the officer, "We hail from a federation of lost colonies with long histories, administrated by the planet of Esomer."

The new shielding is installed into the capital ships and installations of the Esomerian military. Use as an improvised offensive weapon has already been included in tactical manuals.

Unless they are moving at lightspeed in-system, which is so crazy even Han Solo was hesitant to try it in a ship small enough for him to personally pilot it, it would still take hours; even then, pretty much every other ship in existence can out run a super stardestroyer without batting an eye.
