Agreed. Most pop songs today are becoming disturbingly more similar ._.
Of course, there's always artists like They Might Be Giants and Weird Al, who refuse to stop being interesting.
To be honest, I'm a bit tired of listening to really old songs.
Then listen to really new ones...
Like the ones from They Might be Giants and Weird Al, both of which are continually being produced, and are continually of high-quality.
I don't think we're saying that modern music sucks period, I think we're just saying that good music is harder to come by these days due to the current nature of the music industry.
Fun fact: most pop songs have been written and composed by the same two guys for several years now.
There's that one gem every now and then that stands out, but most of the time songs end up being very generic nowadays.
I like them all, but I'll have to single out Gravity Hurts (the original release not any of the remakes and reruns - though the instrumental one is good) because I will just play it on repeat and be okay with it.
I'd have to go with Creeping in my Soul, mostly because of Creeps from the Deep. That video was so cool. Honestly I probably like the Mahri video even more, but that's less because of the song.
See -- I hate that song, because it made my mom think BIONICLE was evil
