{JAMMERS! BUN02 ONLY!} OOC: bun02 actually I reread the post and yeah you were right I think it was because you didn't post your choice BUT here's my thing. That was your first ever actual RP move on here so there's that. Another thing I don't recall myself or jaypie EVER specifically stating that one MUST state their choice in the formatting that several RPers choose to state theirs (though theirs are not incorrect either). The reason he set in on me instead of you is because, as the host, I wasn't going to fix it or insist that you posted the letter and this has been something that has cropped up in the past as well. All in all I think you were simply the excuse and are not to blame at all. I don't want you taking any guilt over it.
{JAMMERS! ESSA ONLY!} OOC: I'm not sure what's been already brought up in the past, but I thought maybe that triggered it. I didn't exactly take any guilt over it -- though, thank you for the reassurance just the same, because I had a feeling I'd just inadvertently disrupted the game with my first move. I mean, I didn't see anywhere in the rules that you had to post the letter, just as long as you acted on it. But I can see how in some instances posting the letter would clarify certain things. Overall I probably shouldn't have gotten so steamed up about it, but when indignation takes over me I fly off in all directions. Anyway, hopefully this whole thing is resolved peacefully, and we can focus on the game once again.
{JAMMERS! -Bun02- ONLY!} OOC: The chaotic state of the story and hosting, in extreme brevity. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when you made that comment. Quite understandable, you seem to be taking adapting to the gameplay quite well so far. : D Indeed let the games commence!
Calm down---shh---it's okay. It's okay. *Leaf brings the shaken Jayclone a little distance away from the crime scene, outside of the greenhouse and clear of the pouring guests* Breathe in, breathe out. You're safe now. You're safe. *she holds on to the Jayclone's hands and tries to ease the trembling*
*after a while, the photographer brings back some napkins and a cup of water and offer them to the Jayclone* Tell me...how did you find her, the Security Jayclone? Did you see anything unusual on your way to the greenhouse?
*the jayclone manages to calm down some thanks to Leaf and sips her water before replying* Well, see, the other jayclone had all the clues from the past smashing because she was trying to match them to someone in the crowd, I think I scared the attacker off as she was stealing the clues back because she dropped them as she left. I have them here now. Paper with a rhyme, notebook and pen...I just wish I had come sooner. *she uses the napkins to wipe away some tears*
*Leaf gently pats the Jayclone shoulders* No, you did well. You not protected the clues from the Smasher's hands but also warned everyone in the nick of time. Thank you. *she closes her eyes then looks back at the green house* ...I promise you, we will catch the culprit. Did you get to see what the Smasher looks like before they ran off?
*bun who (technically) reached the crime scene and searched the dirt first finds only three purple-ish fibers very loosely clinging to one another lying in a un-potted cactus Lolimon sees this clue as well as she picks it up*
*Lifts the fibers closer to her eye for inspection, careful not to separate them* Huh. Weird... *She is momentarily tempted to dash back to her room with the fibers and examine them more thoroughly under her microscope, but she decides to show the clue to someone who might know more about it than she does. After a second of thought, she begins to look around the scene in search of the juice bar jayclone.*
*Leaf looks up and waves to Bun, pointing to juice bar Jayclone next to her*

Do you have any idea what they might be from?
"Strangulation," Tigress murmurs under her breath. "Lovely." She concludes the smasher must have been strong, most probably a man with large hands, if they had finished off the jayclone so quickly after she'd cried out. She searches the clone's pockets, faintly hoping for a clue, although she is sure that seeing the smasher succeeded, he would have taken what he came for.
OOC: Just to clarify the shriek came from the still alive jayclone the smashed jayclone was likely fighting back too hard to scream : D
*the original clues are still present, the crumpled poem/drawing, notebook and pen since the smasher fled before they were able to steal them back*
OoC: Oh oops. xD My bad.
IC: Surprised but pleased, Tigress picks up the clues. She regrets not having gloves to wear in case the fingerprints of someone important are on the clues or having a bag to carry them in. She leaves the greenhouse and catches sight of NFM nearby. She waves a hand to catch her attention and walks up to her, eager to share the evidence. "Look what I've got!"
Okay. I've been seeing this happening a lot over the course of this game so I'll just state it outright.
In a game, rules and order always come first. Why? Because they shape how it proceeds and go on to affect the actions and response of the players. Without some sort of guidance or reference to go from, it gets very confusing to handle the "story" happening within the RP and gives complete liberty to all; allowing anything, no matter how ridiculous, irrational, or perhaps demanding toward other players, to occur. The job of the Host, then, is to make sure none of the above takes place and create a believable timeline of events that encompasses the unforeseeable behaviors of the participants while moving them along to an "end."
How can you do that when everything is so unpredictable?
Jaypie, the original Host, used a "Multiple-Choice" System in which players can choose a selective response during key events of the RP (e.g. crime scenes, dinner parties that serve to set up the Smashings, etc.). As long as users perform an act or dialogue based off the intended reply, they are free to be creative in their motions and follow along the plot, all the while retaining their character's personalities and attributes. This is a win-win situation because both the Host and the players have a certain degree of control over the flow of the gameplay: the game will not go out of proportions, and the conversations/interactions of the participants are not dictated to the point where the game is no longer "fun."
[cont.]
OoC: Jay was the second host (Or third?), with Mav being the original host and creator of the game. Jay just didn't want to see it go to waste, so she brought it here. Otherwise, good observations, I give it a 9/10.

OoC: Wait a second... Then why get technical in the first place?xP This might just be me, but I don't think trying means a whole lot when you know you can do better. What's done is done, friend. This game is pretty chaotic, I asked for order, then I asked again, 'Third time's a charm' more like 'three strikes you're out' -- which is why I haven't asked a third time. This game has potential to be less chaotic and just as fun, but when I asked/proposed the idea you mistook it on all counts as something it clearly was not and shot it down by way of reasoning like "It's just not my handle," given as a legitimate excuse. I mean, I have an idea of how to better something and rather than, "Okay, let's work with this, and what works we can keep," it's, "Oh, we don't really need better because the old way has spit-sputtered successfully through X many rounds so far, but nice try, Lolimon." So yeah that irritates me a lot, a lot more than I'm allowed to say.
OOC: I'm not trying to be rude, or exaggerating in the slightest when I say that I really didn't understand one word of that. If this is still all stemming off the fact that I didn't make my RPing decision "clear enough" by stating the letter of my choice directly -- I figured that was pretty much obvious by what did as my character, but if it's how y'all prefer to do things here, that's fine with me, I'm just new at this so I didn't know. And if that's what is still bugging you and prompting this rant, sorry, I'll try to do better next time. But if that's the case, I don't think Essa is the one you should be getting mad at. She's been doing a really good job keeping this game going and keeping it fun for everyone to play -- which, by the way, is really hard, and I know because I've run large storytelling events like this before. So give her some credit, mkay? Like I said, not trying to make things worse or irritate anyone, but I feel like you're overreacting to whatever it was you were upset about in the first place. And if I was the problem in the first place, you shouldn't be blaming Essa -- because that really irritates me, a lot more than I'm allowed to say.
OoC: There's a fine line between being rude and butting into matters that don't necessarily concern you. Well, I can try to make it clearer if you'd like. None of it stemmed from that, it just stoked my vast irritation for the general haphazard craziness that has befallen this game. No one prefers it that way, just me. I'm like that old guy who wants things the way they started, but better. On the galleries where this game started, it was a huge hit and it really felt like clue, despite the fact that Mav did all the RPing and left the mystery solving to the players. We had less than a day sometimes to solve the mystery, and it just was, in a word, exhilarating. This game came over to the boards and Jay decided to ascribe more of the RPing to the players, which sounded like a great idea, and showed no fault for a time most likely because we were all so excited it survived, but in time the lack of fundamental RP rules has diminished the game's high-standing and revealed it to be what it has become: A teetering jenga tower. No one knows when it will fall, and it seems to become less stable with every round. The nostalgia within this game is what's kept me playing, but I have to prioritize. If I had the time I would take the gauntlet myself as I did with the GAC, RMC, BRM, the gallery NRP, And the DSRP. From factions within RPs to whole RPs, I've been there when they fell, and I caught them. I kept them from falling into obscurity. But the thing is I really don't have that kind of time anymore. So when/if this game ever falls any further, I won't be there to stop it. I'm not mad, a little disappointed in the human race, but not too much more than usual. I know how hard it is, I didn't just jump-start those factions/RPs mentioned previously - I stuck around, and a lot of them ran in the same time frame, along with factions I was running myself and helping some friends start their own RPs in exchange for their help with mine. So as you can imagine I was just a little busy. As I say, I'm not mad at her specifically, so please stop acting like it. I'm mad at the system and she just happens to be the only one in authority, so I talk to her about it, is all.

Lolli I understand that you have a lot of ideas on how to improve the gameplay, and that's perfectly fine! But in this instance, Essa is merely following the result of the moderation. Bun's reply proceeded yours, so our Host accordingly described Bun's earlier arrival. Strictly speaking, we don't know who made the earlier mental decision to pick "A", but since Bun's post is moderated first, that means she technically announced her RP decision before yours. But at the end of all of this, both of you found the same, exact clue. Time is an irrelevant factor in this case.
A good way to voice your opinions would be through jammars. I'm sure Essa is very willing to listen to your suggestions. But here's the thing: she's occupied in the current gameplay. Modification to the rules to enhance order is great, but not when a game is already taking place. Changing things up will only increase chaos among the players, and the story will not be able to proceed. Perhaps in the break session between this game and the next, you can address her the issues you found throughout this playthrough and the two of you can discuss and find a solution that benefits both the Host and prospective players.
Essa Kryze Taking over the Host position isn't easy, but you've been doing awesome! You've been adjusting quickly to Jaypie's system and this RP wouldn't be possible without your help. None of us are Roleplay experts, and we just do what we can to hold it together. We're all very willing to learn together and help you throughout this game. We can always discuss and come up with ways to help the RP flow smoother in the future, so don't worry! You're enforcing the rules diligently and the game is not descending into pure chaos. Thank you for your dedication. ^)^
bun02 we're very happy that you're joining the RP! While you might not be familiar with all the details of the gameplay, you did exactly what was required to do: select a response and act accordingly. You have done nothing wrong. c:
I apologize if I'd mistaken your frustrations/irritations or interpreted the situation wrong. I'm just a fellow player^^
OoC: Well, as I stated previously, that wasn't the issue, I was just pointing out a flawed system - which isn't her fault, I will add, she's just the one in power to fix it- not demanding personal justice. Quite frankly, I don't give a brick who got where first, it isn't the issue, just part of it. Again, we're all getting off on the wrong foot, I say. I'm doing one thing and it's been taken for quite the contrary. Yeah, jammers haven't been working for me lately, so I forewent them on all counts on account of their frustrating me; which I knew better than to try and sound irritated while legitimately being frustrated. Not really, no. She said she'll 'take it into consideration,' a statement that has come to be nothing more than a clever way to try to pacify and ignore the clientele. And as you know I am not one to sit idly. I didn't suggested that she implement any changes during the game. You'd have to see her about that. But yeah, that's not a bad idea, in theory.

{JAMMERS! -Lolimon- ONLY!} OOC: I'm actually quite glad to hear all this. I, just like everyone else, was under the impression that you were simple raking me for some reason which was highly confusing for me considering 90% of the time we get along just fine. Unfortunately I was not on the old gallery game, it's just a name or word with no meaning or context to me. I don't know any of that past, only the most recent version. : ( That's the only version I've ever known. I guess that's why I'm sitting here thinking, "I'm making this go better than it was towards the end there yay!" And then somehow am still considered inadequate. Anyways like I said I'm glad I got to read this because that was very clarifying for me.

NFM's eyes widen and she asks eagerly in a low voice. " Is that all the clues so far? How did you get them? "
"I searched the body." At NFM's startled expression behind her mask, Tigress protests, "Relax! It's no big deal--it's not as if she's able to use them now." She holds out the evidence--the crumpled poem/drawing, notebook and pen-- for NFM to see, while murmuring. "OK, so we've got that the smasher likes to take his art and notes with him on the job, so he's gotta be someone efficient and confidant enough to believe he can take his work with him. And I say 'he' because the jayclone shows signs of being strangled, and it takes a strong person to do something like that. Of course," She adds reflectively. "I guess a girl could be just as capable of doing that, if they're strong enough, so. . . ugh, now I confused myself."
