"I'm not a very good detective," Tigress replies with a wry smile. "I've just been talking to NFM and eating brownies--though I've still been thinking about the smasher." She adds, "But I saw you and Leaf talking, and it looks like you've got a plan? What's up?"
It is approaching 3 in the morning when a shriek rips out from the direction of the greenhouse. There were no tours in there at that time yet the door hangs ajar. The jayclone that managed the juice bar has found her fallen comrade, the clone in charge of security. There are obvious signs of a struggle, (ie stirred up dirt and knocked over plant pots broken watering lines ect) as if the jayclone tried to fight back but the assaulter clearly had better fighting skills. There are no footprints as the dirt is scattered wildly and chaotically. The jayclone was smashed by seemingly no weapon but bare hands.
Will you...
A. Examine the dirt for fallen clues
B. Take a closer peek at the jayclone
C. Spectate the clean up from a distance
Or
D. Talk to the juice bar jayclone once more
(I'm trying my best to make them progressively more helpful so hopefully this is working! ^v^)
*Leaf snaps up at the shriek, all the colors drained from her face. You hear her curse a little as she flashes a look at Gnuehchcaz * ---before the Smasher strikes again! C'mon!
*she reaches the green house and decides to turn to the juice bar Jayclone* Are you alright?
OoC: D
Tigress jerks her head up toward the greenhouse at the sound of the scream, and darts toward the building as fast as she can alongside the other guests. She yanks her dagger out and prepares to face a dangerous killer, but when she bursts in, there is no one alive within. "Brick it," She mutters and slips her weapon back into its sheath. She sees the scuffed-up dirt and prepares to kneel to inspect it, but Bun and Lolimon beat her to it. Thus, she changes her mind and decides to inspect the fallen Jayclone. She tries to ignore the confused chattering and bustling of the crowd, and attempts to see through the dim light of the dark greenhouse.
OoC: B
What remains is still warm. She searches for any marks around her neck, head, and torso that could indicate how the smasher took care of its victim. It had to be a quick and efficient way, seeing that the Jayclone had been finished so quickly.
*A night owl at heart, Bun is still awake at the late hour and thus hears the commotion quite clearly. She rushes outside to the scene of the crime, her eyes widening in shock as she sees the chaos.* "I knew the rumors about this hotel...but this??" *Cautiously stepping through the forming crowd, she approaches the site of the smashing and begins to run her fingers lightly across the dirt, searching for clues.*
IC: Lolimon hobbles over, taking note of everything mentally and disregarding any insistence of jayclones for him to get away by absently threatening to sue the establishment, and meaning it. With much gritting of teeth and a little bit of red seeping through his pants leg he examines the crime scene for clues, disregarding his pain as he takes Tigress' reaction the wrong way because he's in pain and not his usual understanding self.
*bun who (technically) reached the crime scene and searched the dirt first finds only three purple-ish fibers very loosely clinging to one another lying in a un-potted cactus Lolimon sees this clue as well as she picks it up*
OoC: Well, if you want to get technical about it, which of us actually chose chose option A and announced as your game asks we do for our findings to be valid? Unless you'd go as far as to contradict your own gameplay...

NFM rushes to the sence of the crime with the rest of the group, also prepared for a fight. Seeing that others are looking for clues she decides she'll try to see if the smasher is still around. He or she couldn't have gone far and why would they return to the sence of the crime so soon? She leaves the greenhouse and glances around the garden trying spot either a good hiding spot or someone with dirt on their colthing. It then occurred to her that smasher might have gone inside. But she decides to continue to look around the garden just in case anyone finds any valuable information.
*the jayclone seems extremely shaken as she babbles and is pale as a sheet and quite shaky* This is like the juice bar all over again! *she wails unhappily* last time it was a notebook and pen.....but what now!! *she begins to cry*
Calm down---shh---it's okay. It's okay. *Leaf brings the shaken Jayclone a little distance away from the crime scene, outside of the greenhouse and clear of the pouring guests* Breathe in, breathe out. You're safe now. You're safe. *she holds on to the Jayclone's hands and tries to ease the trembling*
*after a while, the photographer brings back some napkins and a cup of water and offer them to the Jayclone* Tell me...how did you find her, the Security Jayclone? Did you see anything unusual on your way to the greenhouse?
*the jayclone manages to calm down some thanks to Leaf and sips her water before replying* Well, see, the other jayclone had all the clues from the past smashing because she was trying to match them to someone in the crowd, I think I scared the attacker off as she was stealing the clues back because she dropped them as she left. I have them here now. Paper with a rhyme, notebook and pen...I just wish I had come sooner. *she uses the napkins to wipe away some tears*

OOC: I really don't. I dunno man, I'm trying okay. I don't know how I irritated you but I didn't mean to I'm just trying to make the game go. :f

OoC: Wait a second... Then why get technical in the first place?xP This might just be me, but I don't think trying means a whole lot when you know you can do better. What's done is done, friend. This game is pretty chaotic, I asked for order, then I asked again, 'Third time's a charm' more like 'three strikes you're out' -- which is why I haven't asked a third time. This game has potential to be less chaotic and just as fun, but when I asked/proposed the idea you mistook it on all counts as something it clearly was not and shot it down by way of reasoning like "It's just not my handle," given as a legitimate excuse. I mean, I have an idea of how to better something and rather than, "Okay, let's work with this, and what works we can keep," it's, "Oh, we don't really need better because the old way has spit-sputtered successfully through X many rounds so far, but nice try, Lolimon." So yeah that irritates me a lot, a lot more than I'm allowed to say.

OOC: I wasn't trying to get technical I'm just not 100% perfect with my grammar and such all the time. The last thing I want to do is get technical tbh. ;p I have no idea if I can get better or not, this is my first ever time. I'm very new at RPing in general and hosting a game like this in specific. I'm sorry I'm inadvertently irritating you, I don't want to. I don't really understand, since I feel like I made an effort at making the latest clues and such work together better, how I'm still totally inadequate and chaotic. Like I said I'm not out to tick you off. : (

OOC: I'm not trying to be rude, or exaggerating in the slightest when I say that I really didn't understand one word of that. If this is still all stemming off the fact that I didn't make my RPing decision "clear enough" by stating the letter of my choice directly -- I figured that was pretty much obvious by what did as my character, but if it's how y'all prefer to do things here, that's fine with me, I'm just new at this so I didn't know. And if that's what is still bugging you and prompting this rant, sorry, I'll try to do better next time. But if that's the case, I don't think Essa is the one you should be getting mad at. She's been doing a really good job keeping this game going and keeping it fun for everyone to play -- which, by the way, is really hard, and I know because I've run large storytelling events like this before. So give her some credit, mkay? Like I said, not trying to make things worse or irritate anyone, but I feel like you're overreacting to whatever it was you were upset about in the first place. And if I was the problem in the first place, you shouldn't be blaming Essa -- because that really irritates me, a lot more than I'm allowed to say.

OOC: Fortunately I don't think he's irritated because of your post so you don't need to worry about being at fault. ^v^ Thank you for saying those nice things about me though that makes me feel very relieved. :')
Okay. I've been seeing this happening a lot over the course of this game so I'll just state it outright.
In a game, rules and order always come first. Why? Because they shape how it proceeds and go on to affect the actions and response of the players. Without some sort of guidance or reference to go from, it gets very confusing to handle the "story" happening within the RP and gives complete liberty to all; allowing anything, no matter how ridiculous, irrational, or perhaps demanding toward other players, to occur. The job of the Host, then, is to make sure none of the above takes place and create a believable timeline of events that encompasses the unforeseeable behaviors of the participants while moving them along to an "end."
How can you do that when everything is so unpredictable?
Jaypie, the original Host, used a "Multiple-Choice" System in which players can choose a selective response during key events of the RP (e.g. crime scenes, dinner parties that serve to set up the Smashings, etc.). As long as users perform an act or dialogue based off the intended reply, they are free to be creative in their motions and follow along the plot, all the while retaining their character's personalities and attributes. This is a win-win situation because both the Host and the players have a certain degree of control over the flow of the gameplay: the game will not go out of proportions, and the conversations/interactions of the participants are not dictated to the point where the game is no longer "fun."
