As it seems, many a players who were somehow baited into this trap game are a bit confused. So here I am, Professor Sith U. Maverick. PhD in Horrible Writing, original leader and worst leader of SFMP (Sig-Fig Mystery Party).
In essence, the game was based on Town of Salem (anyone heard of it?), despite how many people say it's similar to Clue. I've...actually never played Clue...regardless, it's about s group of users (represented by their sig-figs)in the Hotel Legoithe. This hotel is an eerily Victorian era mansion somewhere in the middle of I Haven't Ever Specified a City-ville, where through a series of mystical and magical plot conveniences, the group is trapped inside of the mansion where one user is a serial smasher. Each night, a user is smashed, and clues are left to the identity of the smasher. And it's your job to identify the smasher before your time comes.
Basically, at least. Everyone else probably has better specifics, I can just sum it up.
Ah, ToS! See, that makes a lot more sense now. Good inspiration.
Please fill out this sheet and I’ll show you to your room.
Name: Zach Personality: Creative and optimistic Favorite color: Blue Occupation: Engineer Appearance: Exactly as my blue-suit and top hat avatar Backstory: Hotel called me to fix the Wi-Fi connection. Ended up staying here for the night. Skills: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering What would be in your bags on vacation? A toolbox with a hammer, saw, files, masking tape, wires, resistors, capacitors, copper rods, gears, motors, microprocessors, and all sorts of engineering equipment. Also a set of clothes, laptop, and LEGO bricks in my usual luggage. Weapon of choice? A custom designed ping pong ball launcher. I guess whatever is in my toolbox can be considered a weapon. How do you do under pressure? Ok, loses speed, but becomes aware.
I guess I'm joining the game. See above for form application.
Wonderful!! Welcome to the game, we're glad to have you. : D If you need a brief nutshell of the crimescenes and clues let me know. : D
This is very nice, thanks! And sure, if you know people who might want in you could tag them either this game or next, whatever. :3 I'll finish out with the rest of the players.
@electricsunset1217 Sogel Van Rome K66 Still up to finish the game? : D
You guys might too busy with life to get involved in a mystery RP game, but I'll ask anyway. Wanna join in?
*slides around door frame curiously*
I've checked this topic out before, but it always seemed like one of those games that was too complicated for me to get a grip on and I'd probably end up becoming inactive within a week. However, I'm willing to try it.
So it's kind of like Clue? Sounds fun, although I must warn you...in real life, I tend to just accuse everyone with no real solid proof to my accusations. I'm not great at that game. XD
But yeah, I'll give this a shot. I love mystery stories.
Hang on. Essa Kryze , do you have the links to the pages with the information on the game and the bios? (Though Narwhal, you could probably just flip back to the first page and look at the original settings there. )
I do indeed. And it's better to use these link as the rules changed long after the first page. Check out on page 143 almost at the bottom, there will be a link for the bio there. Rules and another link are under that post. Lady Narwhal
It means "Out Of Character" -- like when you're in an RP game, but you're taking a pause to talk about something else instead of being the character you're supposed to be.
Ohhh. . .thanks. But when you are in your character and when you are saying you are doing something, do you say it like *This* or just normally?

Great! That's all right, this topic might slide into awkward inactivity again for all we know -- but with enough users joining, there's a good chance it'll stay alive. Look around at some recent posts talking about the game, you'll find information that might help.

You typically type "IC" when you're getting back in character. For example:
IC: *Tigress walks up to Lady Narwhal and tells her she smells like beef.*
OoC: Pausing the game here, I'd just like to say that Narwhal smells like beef.
