Yeah, I'm going to church! I'll read a book, write some more, rake some leaves or something. Might build a blanket fort for the reading. How about yourself?

Yeah! Oh. It's not something that excites you, huh? I'll bet. Especially after you've done a lot of physical labor.

Well to be completely honest, no. I didn't grow up going to church because (and this will probably be confusing and sound backwards) my parents felt like God actually called them away from the church. They would always say that a personal relationship with God is the most important thing. And it's better try to give God all your time not just one day imho. So I went to church a few times with my friends a bit recently and found that I don't really like it all that much. To me it's a stressful experience because I have to get up early, get cleaned up, and then go be around people I don't know and a tone of noise for like 4 hours straight. But I don't think people that go to church are wrong, it's just dependant on the personal journey imo. I'm glad that you enjoy it tho! It seems like a good way to hang out in a safe environment. Indeed! Physical labor? ...Ah yes that! I remember that! Quite so.

Your parents are absolutely correct, our personal relationships with God is the most important, just like our hearts are the most important organ in our bodies. Just a heart isn't a full body, and a body can't function without a heart. BUT, in the same breath; depending on the core beliefs of this or that church in particular, God very well could have called them away.XP Alright, giving one's life in service to God is biblical, but then so is the Lord's day. I'm sorry to hear that. And fellowship is an integral part of the Christian journey, unless you'd rather not be encouraged in faith and learn from the mistakes of others through their testimonies, or gather with other believers in prayer. Though it's difficult to sniff out churches that act like that these days, anyway, so giving up and staying home is pretty reasonable. I don't think avoiding the church is deal-breaking, you're just playing on hard mode. I enjoy being with my church family immensely. Hangout and learm and grow in Christ, amirite? Yeah, you know, that thing you do when you need to get things done.
