"It is not necessarily a bad agreement, but it is the principle of the matter that counts: You said you like to keep your ship independent, Creed, but if this Portugal guy tries to force you to sign this treaty like he tried to do me. How truly independent will you be. And, this is a battle of wills. We must show Portugal and other nations that we cannot be pushed.
