Dude, the exact same thing goes for me. O.O Just, anything and everything has the potential for inspiration. I think music and books have been the biggest inspirations for me, though.
What have you been writing? Basically it's about a ninja who is sent to secretly protect a knight as he goes on his first quest because the trip is to dangerous. Along the way they met lots creatures, friends and foes. One of the key creatures is a unicorn named Troposphere. There's a sorcerer who feels he was treated unfairly and wants vengeance for being forced into isolation. His brother has a plot later to rebel against the ruling class by planed assassinations. And there's a few other twists and subplots I have in mind as well.
I’ve been working on a novel IRL that I’m hoping to get published under a pseudonym. It’s kind of my way of introducing myself to the world of the written word, and from there I hope to take my writing (anonymously) in a direction that makes a difference!

No this one isn't. It's actually published through KDP, but I still need to replace the cover and do some edits so I don't want anyone buying it just yet. The story I have posted here on the LMBE is actually my Ninjago fan fiction Gravitation.
( I hope you don't mind that I added numbers, I'm hoping it'll make thing less confusing for myself. )
1. Real life event. Yeah I believe some real events have inspired some parts of my writing, but I usually write about stuff I haven't experienced for the most part. 2. Oh yes definitely! A whole list of characters: Jadyn, Lisa, Moe, Zaida, Zarha, Gregory, Gorege, Gabe, Gavin, Grant, Omincron, Kent. Ria, Coy, Cenzy, Shane. And many others either got their names, personality or looks from real people or real people inspired their creation. And that's not including the boat load of characters based on myself and characters the are inspired but other people but don't have names or much development yet. 3. Yes, I believe so. If not dreams have inspired me at least. 4. I'm not sure... 5. Zephyr. 6. Um probably... Uh, well you see I have a few worlds and it's hard to pick a favorite. 7. Yes... XP 8. I wrote some Miraculous short stories using some prompts for a challenge I never finished. But they are horribly written and one is far to shipy for my taste. 9. I don't think so. I do know what my first Ninjago fan fiction was though...
10. Most of the writing I do for my fan fiction does end up being canon to the story however I do a LOT of daydreaming different scenes, lots of which do end up in the fan fiction but many I know may not and should not make the final cut.
(Literally, I only hate numbers on a math assignment )

1. True. 2. Yeah. XD 3. I remember one dream that inspired a story idea that I planned for a long time, but now I'm thinking I won't write it. 5. Wait really? Cool! 6. YES! 8. Yes Miraculous, me and my siblings love it. Doesn't mean my Miraculous one shots are any good though... I also had a longer Miraculous fan fiction planned where they get stuck on an island with a villain the has a boxcellder miraculous hunting for them. Adrian was going to be stuck in his human form and Mairinette was going to stuck as ladybug. But they were going to have to fight their way through the jungle island. I only wrote the beginning and never continued it though unfortunately.
9. It was called " Ninja Camp " and I wrote it for the Ninjago write like a ninja contest on the original Ninjago message boards. It was about the ninja and Skylor taking a group of kids on a camping trip and samurai attacking them. It was rather cringy.

So I kinda wrote a novel, that's why I was gone so long. I still need to fix some things though and I'm greatful that Tigress is helping me with that. I think I've been improving with my writing? I can't wait to get back to writing my fan fiction. It's probably going to feel easy after this. Also the other day my sister found a writing prompt that both me and her wrote on a long car ride.
Here's an idea, what if we posted one shots or short pieces inspired by writing prompts on this topic? Just an idea. I was thinking of maybe sharing what I wrote from the prompt me and my sister used. ( Also Dynamite, if you are interested maybe I can show you those Miraculous one shots... )

Yeah, it would be neat to see what you and others come up with. As well as get to show and get feedback for some small stuff I've written for fun as well.
